Battlefield: Bad Company beta announced (again)

As far as multiplayer specifics go, the Bad Company beta will feature two multiplayer maps (Ascension and Oasis) and the multiplayer mode "Gold Rush". And just like betas before it, DICE will use all the data they mine from their Bad Company beta to further tweak and improve upon the game before its release. Remember, the multiplayer fun kicks off on March 25th and will run through April 25th with access being made available through various IGN websites as well as Gamestop pre-orders. Now go, run forth and obtain a beta code soldier!

hope the game turns out well...
do you early beta testers expect to get a free download (ie maps, weapon packs, etc) in the future after the game is released?? or are you doing for the love of gaming??
seems like the guy's who beta tested the cod4 expect free downloads since they were early adopters.

Unfamiliar with the game until today, but downloading the Beta now (I'm in.) I'll be playing Bad Company because my gaming 'clan' on Live have been absorbed into Vegas 2 and I won't be buying it anytime soon; I'm broke. Something new is something new, after all.

It seems they're going to be releasing a 'gold' edition - Just launched the beta (no servers up yet), and under the unlocks - there are 2 weapons for each class that you can buy on the marketplace, or you can get 1 of the 2 weapons in the 'gold edition' too. Now this wouldn't annoy me if they were just cosmetic changes, but the stats significantly out-perform the other guns in the classes. Lets hope that is changed by release.
Giving a cool cosmetic bonus is good for limited edition owners, but not something which is an in-game advantage.

WTH i cheched u have to be a member to get the beta and i dont want to pay. And i preorder from gamestop they did not know anything about the beta and so they said they did not want my email so how the hell do i get a beat key?????????????

If you look in the options menu under controls it mentions helicopter controls, so there will be choppas :D
