Two Worlds: The Temptation actually a sequel, not expansion

Despite previous reports that the Two Worlds project entitled The Temptation would be an expansion to the original game, it turns out that it will actually serve as a full sequel to Two Worlds. According to the press release, the game will feature a new game engine with "visuals that have to be seen to be believed" alongside "more intricate missions," better voice-overs and animation (oh thank God), improved horseback riding, and "completely revamped combat." The press release included a handful of screenshots that are definitely a step above the original, though we're waiting to see the game in motion before we make any judgments. It seems Reality Pump is aware of gamer's disappointment with the original, as chief developer Miroslaw Dymek notes, "We've taken to heart all the comments made by gamers about Two Worlds and we're going to give them what they want with the sequel." We'll find out if Two Worlds: The Temptation delivers when it releases this fall.

I'm...tempted to think this will probably be about as good as the first one.

The first one, was actually an extremely solid rpg. The frame rate/HDR lighting & VO were just so terrible, that it was hard for most people to get past that to actually enjoy the game.
Personally, I'm looking forward to this sequel.

Loved the first one. Can't wait for the sequel. Sounds like they recognize the past issues and are not only gonna fix them, but greatly improved everything in general

I got the sequel on gamefly. It wasn't nearly as bad as the internets made it out to be, much like how Mass Effect isn't nearly as good as they- the tubes, that is- made it out to be.

Those screens cant be legit. They look far too good to be on a console.

Sweet! Hopefully, they will spend more effor on the ending as well ... the first was rather anti-climactic >8(

My bet is it will be crap. Not in terms of concept, but in terms of delivery, just like the first. Delay, delay, delay and they still couldn't get the kinks worked out so they published and made some cash and now a year later they release another? This is nothing more than an attempt to make money off the same thing twice.
The screen shots for the first one started out looking phenomenal too, and then we got what we got.
Played the demo of the first one and didn't buy. Will do the same with this one.
Ghostbuddy @ Mar 20th 2008 11:21PM
I couldn't tell you weither or not Two Worlds was a good concept. I played the demo, saw the mediocre player creation tool. Got dizzy and sick within a mintue. Started walking down a road. Saw bushes pop up right next to me. Saw a group of goblins that looked terrible. Quit the game and deleted the demo for my healths sake. My friend got a little further. He atacked the goblins. A quit and deleted the demo after seeing the goblins attack animations and sound effects.
I was looking forward to two worlds. It was the biggest disapointment of 07. If this game doesn't fall through It better be good. And it better have a demo.

lol
Well, I hope they don't rush this and actually take the time to make things right.
I guess....good luck? I may check it out when it comes out. Hopefully they don't screw up the multiplayer on this one!!
Vcize @ Mar 21st 2008 10:05AM
Lol safu, exactly what I was thinking.
They must've seen how well R6V2 is selling and thought "holy shit, we can charge 60 bucks for this instead of a 10 dollar download? Sign us up!"
Kevin @ Mar 21st 2008 11:17AM
This game was the worst 60 bucks i spent
