MLB 2K8 strikes out, patch in the works

After playing inning upon inning of MLB 2K8 you've come to realize things just aren't up to snuff. You can't put your finger on it, but you know there's something just off. Well friend, you are spot on correct, because 2K has formally announced that they are working on a patch for MLB 2K8 to fix some of the game's "issues". Issues including frame-rate problems and bugs that pop up while playing as the San Diego Padres in franchise mode. No word to when the update will roll out, but hopefully it'll be released before the baseball season comes to an end.

Nothing new. All previous iterations of MLB 2Kx have been bugged, slow and ugly. I'd rather not get my baseball fix than pay for this crap.

I DL'ed the demo and was disgusted. How can you make the game look worse than the previous year?

2k sports seems to have become a joke - at least their baseball games have. They're terribly buggy every year.
This whole xbox live patching thing is way outta control too.

Am I the only one on Earth who isn't getting the frame rate issues!?

It PROBABLY has something to do with the fact that my Xbox is brand new and I don't have much in my cache.

Granted, I've noticed problems with the game, but if the patch fixes the problems people are having with the game, then I think a lot of people are in for a real treat. I think this game is great. The best baseball game since MVP 2005, IMO.
