RE4 coming to 360, or April Fools Photoshop?

So we've got more rumors for you today, and this one doesn't look quite as credible as our last one. A poster at The Horror is Alive forums posted an alleged camera picture of in-progress boxart for a 360 (and PS3) port of Resident Evil 4 with the sub title of Classic Edition. The poster claims to have received the shot from a friend who works in the San Francisco Capcom offices, and who further claims that the game will prominently feature Hunk, who could be getting his own scenario. The poster promises to try and update with captures, so if it happens we'll let you know.

Now the idea of Capcom taking an older game and updating and re-releasing it isn't at all strange, especially considering their recent history. That fact in and of itself gives this one a bit of credence, but it's still just a rumor. Even the guys in the forum where this appeared were skeptical, thinking it might be an April Fools Photoshop joke. We think this is a plausible Capcom move though, and that the above has some minor potential to be the real boxart. Though only time will really tell about the ultimate truth on this one, this could be great if Capcom follows the Lost Planet: Colonies model and releases this with more content and at a price tag of 29.99. But don't hold your breath for it.

I'm nobody's fool. The tools in Photoshop 7 can do this sort of blur effect, but it looks really authentic. (The camera blur specifically, I mean.) As for the art itself, no idea. I reserve judgement..

..but yeah, the image itself is real. Regardless if the image is actual box art or not, it's a photograph.

the '4' is a different color as well as Hunk..and why would this be advertised in stores well before news sites like IGN or X3F would announce them? I can't imagine why it'd be 'RP' either; the damn game has been out for years..we KNOW it's 'M'.

I'd buy it again with updated graphics and achievements, I love that game and have played through it like 5-6 times.

You know, I own all four versions of this game and I've never finished it.

Add some achievements and oh boy I'd be all over this like a fat kid on a bag of M&M's.

Yah, Xav...if they offered this on the 360 for under $30, I'd be all over it. I beat the original GC version, I own the Wii and I had the PS2 version for a while before I traded it in. It's well worth beating on your console of choice! :)

I bought this game so often it's stupid. I even bought the really crappy PC port thinking it would be great, but it was so badly ported that there's no ingame way to EXIT once you launch the game.

You have to ALT+TAB out!
At least that's how it was when I bought it.
