Sierra Online XBLA News

Appearing on the "Three Red Lights" podcast, Ross Erickson from Sierra Online gave the IGN Podcast a host of details regarding the company's upcoming games. The biggest of the news is that Assault Heroes 2 is actually completed, and is on the road to an April release. The second-most significant news would also be XBLA related, and regards the near-completion of Lost Cities. Concerning Lost Cities, there is still no word about he price, but the rumblings are that it could hit at 400 points. Among the smaller tidbits of information from the interview, Sierra is looking at giving adventure games a return, they're going to be publishing an award-winning XNA game, and as far as their number show, expansions tend to sell less than 50% of the originals.

They also stated on the podcast how unfairly overlooked Switchball was due to the initial XBLA fuckup.

I love all the Sierra games on XBLA. Good to hear they will keep coming out with more and more games.
But I refuse to listen to that stupid 3 red lights podcast. Naming it "3 red lights" is stupid and lame already, but then they senselessly bash the 360, which is not ok because they are stupid and don't make good arguments. Plus, the guy that runs that podcast is named Hilary, just sayin...
Please, no one listen to that podcast. Xbox360fanboy writers, please don't link to it ever again.
Thank you.

While the news is nice, I also will not suppot 3 Red Lights podcast. Told them such, and that they should change the name or risk loosing other viewers as well - doesnt look like I was wrong.

All I have to say to Sierra is:
MAKE NEW KING'S QUEST AND SPACE QUEST GAMES PLEASE!!!!

Their press release claims 800 points for Lost Cities, so I think that's pretty safe to bet on.

What's wrong with the name? I'm waiting on my 3rd 360 to be repaired (RROD on all three). Seems pretty damn appropriate to me. At this point if there's one thing I can count on about a 360, it's that it's going to get three red lights. Still my favorite console, but the least reliable hardware-wise.
Let me guess, you two are those guys the launch boxes that never failed.

Adventure games please! New, old, I don't care. Just make them good.

I wish they would get around to releasing the two good expansions for Carcassonne.

OMG! I really REALLY hope they put their old point and click adventure games on Live. Espically the VGA remake of Hero's Quest. That was (and still is) one of my favorite all time games and it would be such a great addition to XBLA that it drives me nuts that it's not on their yet. So if anyone from Sierra reads this, please please green light HQ for XBLA!!!
