Xbox Live gets downtime on April 1

According to a post on Gamescore Blog and the message we got when we logged onto Live, Xbox Live and Xbox.com will be down for maintenance on April 1 from 2-5am PDT. Before you start making your "Spring Dash Update is Nigh!" signs, we're being told this is a routine process that will go on in the early hours of the morning. In the meantime you should play the Battlefield: Bad Company beta or Halo 3 online or Call of Duty 4 multiplayer. Wait. Oh no! What will we do?!

There is no way this can be April fools....obviously someone haxored the crap out of xbox live and now they are on damage control...
lets all hope for the best for xbox live cause i have a viva pinata party schedualded for April 1st starting at 2am all the way till 5am....

Usually I hate all those damn animal (well mostly the cats) pictures, lolcat's or something I think they are called... but I have to admit, that panda bear brought a smile to my face. :)

That could be it except for the fact that here in México the April fools equivalent is in December 28 and I got the same message about the xbox live going down.
Meh I won't be using xlive that day anyway.

i know, i could be asleep and ignore this whole article because i have school to be in at 7 am. (technically xbox would be down 5-8am here though but regardless)

O Please don't buy into that crap I noticed it this morning on the dashboard anybody who believes this is dumb.Microsoft should have put that comment like a few hours before April 1 and they shouldn't mention that on the 1st of April Live would be down it should say tomorrow Live will be down for about 6 six hours and then people would be pissed and then they would have been fooled.

i have the mail on my xbox right in front of me.
"Xbox live will be unavailable for approximately 3 hours on April 1st 2008 to upgrade the service starting: 02:00 PDT, 09:00 GMT and 18:00 GMT+9"
i wasnt on @ that time 2 see if it was unavailable, but im on now and do not see any noticeable changes.

I was on earlier at 5 PM, that is what I took from the message that it would be down 2 PM PDT 3 hour difference if I'm not mistaken.
