Just as it was
announced last week, a brand spanking new
Army of Two demo is available on the
Xbox Live Marketplace to all Live subscribers except those in Germany. After downloading this 1.32GB multiplayer demo you and a friend will be able to experience
Army of Two co-op battle tactics, co-op camaraderie and lots of co-op killing. Grab the demo if your
Army of Two interest is piqued and be sure to bring a friend along for the ride. Death and destruction is always more enjoyable in pairs.

I was too busy rocking to "Still Alive" this morning to notice it was multiplayer. Thanks for the heads up X3F.
ZEBRA NINER @ Apr 1st 2008 11:24AM
This is vs. multiplayer or co-op campaign? The mulitplayer of Army of Two is ok, but the co-op campaign is where the game really shines.
Neuromancer @ Apr 1st 2008 11:26AM
Disregard the poor reviews, if you like co-op shooters you should at least try this game. Don't bother getting it for the single player or versus though.

Co-op campaign is a lot of fun. I never played the online multiplayer...rental was due back.
Neuromancer @ Apr 1st 2008 11:36AM
You're not missing much, except maybe some teabagging.
Digital Limit @ Apr 1st 2008 11:37AM
Hrm, I'll have to try this out.
decapit8 @ Apr 1st 2008 11:37AM
its co-op online.
i thought this game sucked according to reviews... but playing the demo was actually pretty fun. but i can see how it could get old fast. plus im a fan of tons of gore... i was wishing for watermelon sounds when i got headshots, and fountains of blood. but hey, i guess you cant always get exactly what you want. fun none the less, hopefully its not one of those game that gets old fast.
Neuromancer @ Apr 1st 2008 11:41AM
Decap, I've played it through over twice with friends and I've almost played through it once by myself. It hasn't gotten old yet and there are new maps on the way.
70Olds @ Apr 1st 2008 11:46AM
Did anyone get this today?

ZEBRA NINER @ Apr 1st 2008 11:46AM
Yeah, I've played it through once on my own and 4 times over with different friends. The MP is great if you have 3 other friends that have it, so that there won't be any quitting mid match.
Some reviewers didn't give the game a fair shake. I think if you completely ignore this game based off of that, you'll have missed out on a fun co-op experience.

I am going to download this as i am not going to spend £40 on shit .But come on what about condemnend 2? The PS3 network already has it...
Neuromancer @ Apr 1st 2008 12:03PM
@70Olds
Yeah I got it, very silly.
70 Olds @ Apr 1st 2008 12:06PM
@Neuromancer
Yeah, I totally wasted my time and looked at it too :)

Pretty neat game.
Neon Jebus @ Apr 1st 2008 1:49PM
The single player reminds me of Black. I enjoyed Black but it wasn't amazing. I would say the game is a solid 7 / 10. A good rental. The worst part for me is the cover system which isn't all that great.
insomnious @ Apr 1st 2008 3:55PM
To be honest, this is the only game I've purchased and immediately regretted it. Admittedly I was playing it on my own (as no-one else I knew would touch it), and I can see how the game would be fun in multiplayer, but it's a very cheap copy of Gears of War, even down to the trajectory guideline of throwing grenades. The put-put-put-poot-poot sounds of the guns become tiresome almost immediately, all the enemy AI seems to do is run around in circles around cover if you go anywhere near them, and none of the gun modifications seem to do anything. It also borrows from Crackdown in a lot of respects, but I can't remember for the life of me why it reminded me (as I took AOT back the following day).

Played the demo online, its decent enough. I'd be pissed if I bought this game for 60 bucks though.
It is definatly worth keeping an eye out for a deal in a store. Worth 30 or less.
NukeAssault @ Apr 1st 2008 6:06PM
I actually enjoyed the demo. Played with a nice guy and we had fun. I probably wont be buying it anytime soon. But its definitely not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. So long as you play with a friend that is. =D
Shh101890 @ Apr 1st 2008 7:16PM
Can't download because it is M-rated content, I turn 18 in October. I hate it when this happens! Why can't I download Rp/M rated content at 17 1/2
Sev @ Apr 2nd 2008 12:59AM
Demo doesn't give you mcuh to sample xD
Ron @ Apr 2nd 2008 1:10AM
The Co-op was fun, but I felt that the controls were cumbersome. Maybe I could have changed the analog stick sensitivity I don't know. But the game was still pretty fun to play with friends. It didnt really deserve the negative reviews it got, but then again I agree that it could get old fast, especially if this is not the type of game you'd generally play.
King Keepo @ Apr 2nd 2008 10:02AM
Good co-op fun, but I agree about the sensitivity. Between that and staring at my friend's half of the screen I spent most of my time strafing ceilings.
