A reminder to our fellow
Rock Band owners who didn't go all-in with a big box purchase or want to rock out free of those wired constraints. You should be seeing stand alone and completely wireless
Rock Band Stratocaster guitars hitting retailers this week for an MSRP of around
$69 $59. Cosmetically, the Stratocasters are identical to those included in the big box of
Rock Band fun, just in a new wireless flavor. Remember, you can also pickup the
drum kit as a stand alone peripheral at retailers for around $79.
[Thanks,
Matt]

can't wait to get one
Gemini Ace @ Apr 2nd 2008 2:39PM
I want one but not for that price.
Mrblonde @ Apr 2nd 2008 2:45PM
Yay you used my news tip! I might get one to replace my GH II guitar that I have sense the whammy bar is way loose. I might send the one I got with the bundle back to EA again cause I still have to fling it like crazy to start overdrive. And it seems I have to strum a little bit harder when I strum down then when I strum up. Anyone else have this problem?
Mrblonde @ Apr 2nd 2008 2:46PM
On the dashboard and on gamestop.com, it lists it for 59 bucks.
jinn35 @ Apr 3rd 2008 9:02PM
thanks for informing me on when the 360 guitar is coming out!
ccc @ Apr 2nd 2008 2:52PM
Will this model have the staying power of a dollar store toy as well?
Neopath @ Apr 2nd 2008 3:38PM
What I want to know is when is this going to be bundled in the box?
jinn35 @ Apr 2nd 2008 3:43PM
hey, anybody know why the 360 guitar hero III les paul guitars aren't available yet, or if they are, where can I find them?
Mrblonde @ Apr 2nd 2008 5:08PM
YES!!! Replay system is back!! They will be available on the 16th
Cerixus @ Apr 2nd 2008 3:52PM
Will strumming this one suck as much as strumming the wired one?
Lewis @ Apr 2nd 2008 5:16PM
/fail.
RB guitar pwns.
Mrblonde @ Apr 2nd 2008 5:24PM
That's if I could get my overdrive to activate without having to fling it around
Dirk Dorkelson @ Apr 2nd 2008 6:15PM
I wonder if the damn tilt function works on this one. I'm on my third RB guitar, and my tilt hasn't worked since Day 1. (It worked, poorly, on my two previous ones, which had busted strum bars.)
I can literally swing the guitar around over my head, and overdrive won't activate. The strum bar on this one works fine, though. Must be an either/or thing.
Mrblonde @ Apr 2nd 2008 7:31PM
Dude me too. It's so annoying. You can activate it by pressing select, but that throws you off. I'm like flinging it everywhere to get it to work.
tcolberg @ Apr 2nd 2008 7:35PM
But are these controllers compatible with Guitar Hero as well? If they're limited to one game, that would be very disappointing.
Mrblonde @ Apr 3rd 2008 12:53PM
Seeing as how Harmonix and Activision are pretty much rivals and hate each other, the chance of that happening is very slim. We got fortunate enough that the GH guitars even work in Rock Band.
Deezul @ Apr 3rd 2008 5:25AM
"identical to those included in the big box of Rock Band." So that would be a NO on compatibility with GHIII.
Mr. Nosuch @ Apr 10th 2008 10:00AM
Looks like this slipped a little. No one seems to have any, and GameStop is lying on their site about "Usually ships in 24 hours" when pre-orders have all shifted to "back ordered" and no stores have any.
