XBLA's Battlestar Galactica half price on Sat.

According to a commercial that has been running during the Sci-Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica television series, the Xbox Live Arcade version of Battlestar Galactica will see a half price reduction this Saturday, April 5th. The game will be available for download for 400 Microsoft points, but only on April 5th. It's what we in the business call a one day sale. We aren't in the know regarding the Battlestar Galactica series or what big event is going down on Saturday to spur this discount, but we'll play along. Grab it for 400 if you choose.

I'm waiting until a week on Tuesday when I finally get to see Season 4, and in HD, I guess I'll just have to watch the repeat of Razor this Tuesday to tide me over the extra week.

I couldn't care less about the game.

Has anyone already played the full game? Do you think its worth 400 points? I'm gonna check the trial version out later. I'm a sucker for half-priced games.

I bought Wing Commander like a dumbass when it came out and out of my 55 arcade games I own it is one of my most regreatable purchases. This game is basically the EXACT SAME game. Not worth 800 ms points, not worth 400 ms points, not even worth a free download code you get at Mcdonalds for buying a combo meal....nuff said.

I'll consider it. I'm a huge BSG fan and I can't wait for the Season 4 premier this Friday. I remember this game being okay, really kind of a dissapointment for a source material (the free Beyond the Red Line demo was about 10 billion times better, and can be played on your computer with a Xbox 360 controller easily).

I have 400 sitting around, maybe I'll just get this.

I should've prefaced my previous comment by saying that I'm a sucker for GOOD half-priced games. With this in mind I'm going to have to turn down the avatar offer and this god awful XBLA game. After spending 30 seconds with the trial version I quickly realized that this game is garbage that's definitely not worth 400 MS points. I wouldn't even play this game if it was free. Move along people, nothing to see here.

The game isn't all that bad. I actually enjoyed unlocking the single player achievments, and if anyone actually played the multi-player version, 4 on 4 games of BSG are kind of fun.
