Announcement: X3F TV gets its own feed
Hey fanboys, just a quick announcement to say that we've created a new RSS feed for X3F TV, our video podcast. Previously it was attached to the same feed as the Xbox 360 Fancast, but it turns out that not everyone wants to download X3F TV along with the Fancast. So, we decided to split them up. For those already subscribed to the audio Fancast, you don't have to do a thing. You will no longer receive videos via your aggregator of choice (iTunes, Zune, etc). There may be some videos lingering on the feed as various services refresh everything, but future videos -- barring any mishaps -- shouldn't show up on the Fancast feed. Those wanting to subscribe to X3F TV may do so using the links at the bottom of this post. All of these links will also be included at the bottom of future X3F TV posts. Thanks for reading, watching, and listening![iTunes] Subscribe to X3F TV directly in iTunes.
[Zune] Subscribe to the X3F TV directly (Zune Marketplace link coming soon).
[RSS] Add the X3F TV feed to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.

Great Decision!!!

Little confused, so you have (mp3) next to the feeds. These ones are always videos right? Cuz I would really like to subscribe to the vidcasts for my zune, but I wouldn't especially want to just listen to you describe what is happening. Am I missing something?
Richard Mitchell @ Apr 3rd 2008 5:22PM
Yes, they are videos. Little copy and paste error there. I've fixed the text to make things clearer :)

Awesome! Last night iTunes downloaded the past 2 episodes of X3F TV and my latest fancast was deleted (podcasts set to 3) ... before I was finished listening to it! This will solve that problem. Woo.

Any news on an enhanced podcast feed yet?
Richard Mitchell @ Apr 4th 2008 11:04AM
We're still working on the enhanced podcast feed. The problem is that both the MP3 and AAC files are hosted on the same feed. If anyone out there knows how to make Feedburner pick up only the AAC, let me know.

Fuckin finally. Had to deal with shit I was never watching taking up precious space in my iPod. Poor me.
DeceasedFriend @ Apr 3rd 2008 7:09PM
Thanks for this! I'll subscribe to both.
But when they were on the same feed it screwed up my Zune somehow... It deleted all of the audio ones and wouldn't resync them.
Thanks again!

Yeah, Zune had the same problem with me. Apparently you can't have audio and video in a feed at the same time or it would only sync one, so this should do a good job of fixing that problem. Also, the Zune link seems to be broken, but if you go to the feedburner page you can get an unborked link from there.
Richard Mitchell @ Apr 3rd 2008 7:24PM
Zune link should be fixed now.
DeceasedFriend @ Apr 3rd 2008 8:03PM
Yeah, that's what I figured, Couch.
Richard, the direct subscription link for Zune still isn't working... It says the URL is invalid.
...Stupid Zune.
*shakes fist*

Cool, I'll subscribe now. It was confusing with everything bunched up together.

Good job guys

Sweet, seperate feeds is awesome, though I didn't mind it being mixed in with the regular podcast episodes either.
Suggestion: could you edit the title of the this feed? The reason I ask is the following, when I try to add the feed for X3FTV (http://feeds.feedburner.com/x3ftv) winamp throws an error that there's a duplicate channel already and doesn't add it.
Maybe "Xbox 360 Fanboy TV" and leave the original RSS feed for the podcast name unchanged (or add Fancast to that one :)
Keep up the good work.
