LucasArts today announced that the upcoming
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be arriving on United States shores on September 16, 2008. Southeast Asia and Australia will see the game the next day on September 17, whereas Europe gets the latest Jedi fix on September 19.
The Force Unleashed takes place between episodes 3 and 4 of the
Star Wars saga and tells the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice who, among other things, utilizes incredibly strong Force powers and has discovered yet another weird way in which to wield a light saber. The most notable feature of the game thus far is its
implementation of physics among its characters and environments.

If the combat's done right, this could be the greatest Star Wars game in a long long time.

I am hoping ever, not a fan of the KOTR games, dice rolling (yuck)

What about dark forces, republic commando, battlefront?

Yes I liked those games, I was referring to the love affair that most of the gaming community has with KOTOR. It seems more like a dumbing down of game play to me. De-evolution in gaming. Its great if they make other games in that series because there seems to be a real following, just not something I have any interest in playing. I have liked the idea and looks of this game from day one along with the tech demos. Kinda funny that GTAIV will actually beat it to the punch on the new physics engine.

I have hopes for this game. I think the potential is great and it could be absolutely great.
I am a huge Star Wars fan so even if it turns out to be not so great game wise, I know personally i'll really enjoy it. But I really hope it proves to be a great Star Wars game. That would make it quite the force. Yes, pun intended :-p

hopefully no turn based game play like in kotr, but this could turn out to be great!

I'm really looking forward to this one - glad it's Sept because it'll be basically away from the Big Titles (save Spore.)

For the people who have the Wii & 360 which one would you prefer, better graphics or being really cool Jedi like with the Wii controller.
Personally, I only have the 360 but sheer geek appeal of using the wiimote as a light saber is tempting me to get the Wii. Also, hopefully Wii will be more available by then.
dylan @ Apr 3rd 2008 4:46PM
My TV makes anything on the Wii look like dog turd, so I will be getting it for the 360...
