Halo 3 Double EXP Weekend: Grifball
The Halo 3 Double EXP Weekends continue on (in spite of whatever day the calender insists it is) with the very latest playlist addition: Grifball. The Grav Hammer based fan-favorite gametype is firmly grounded in Foundry and is loosely based on soccer. For those who are arriving late to the Grifball party, the game is very simple: get the ball in the goal without dying. But you'll have to try to get your playing in before 2am Monday morning, as that's when the "Double EXP Weekend" ends. The Grifball playlist is live now.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

You're stupid. Learn punctuation.
Then you're little obnoxious posts will be only half as annoying.
Maybe you can use the Shift Key on the important words, and leave the Caps Key back in 2001, on AOL.
Go play cakadookiesfloor, assclown.

YOUR little obnoxious posts
not
YOU ARE little obnoxious posts.
heavensent @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:22PM

Jason Magio @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:23PM
I played this today. Very interesting gameplay.
Mike @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:23PM
I had figured they ran Grifball for the first double XP weekend as a last chance to get people to pay for the DLC. I'm glad they're bringing it back.
dylan @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:30PM
Yes! I love the chaos of Grifball!
rTwelve @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:43PM
Grifball is freaking awesome, if you have a party with a strategy.
Vcize @ Apr 4th 2008 10:47AM
Indeed, if you can get a pair of teams that are both good at it and don't just go charging in the matches are epic.
Nick Nelson @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:51PM
Heck yes, through extremely unfortunate timing my console red ringed last time. So happy they brought it back so quick, & double EXP to boot. I never say this & I know I shouldn't but, w0rt w0rt w0rt!!
AnOffday @ Apr 3rd 2008 10:52PM
Didn't they just do Grifball for double EXP weekends?
Lewis @ Apr 3rd 2008 11:31PM

My buddy just got Killimanjaro on his second ever Griffball game.
Shmil (Brawl Code 2621-2310-1994) @ Apr 4th 2008 2:18AM
yeah, getting overkills and higher are pretty easy in grifball, seeing as how your betrayals count towards your combo,
Bucfann @ Apr 4th 2008 6:48AM
No they don't.
vidGuy @ Apr 4th 2008 11:00AM
I got a Killionaire in three games in a row last night. I'd never actually seen that in-game before.
Once you get good at Grifball its a ton of fun. My team won 22 matches in a row. Easiest way to get EXP ever.
murph @ Apr 4th 2008 1:19AM
hells m*therf*cking yeah!!
Bac0nator @ Apr 4th 2008 8:34AM
NICE. ill be playing this tonight.
jtedesco33 @ Apr 4th 2008 8:52AM
Is there any chance that grifball will get onto a ranked playlist and stay there?
SAGExSDX @ Apr 4th 2008 8:59AM
i second the notion of grifball being a permanent playlist or a gametype in a playlist rotation (like rocket race)
JakubK666 (Ninja Defence Force) @ Apr 4th 2008 9:02AM
Definitely not.
It gets boring after the first couple of games same as RR and Zombies.
There are some suggestions regarding Actionsack playlist which would include all three.
webster1990 @ Apr 4th 2008 9:11AM
i want Team SWAT to be a permenant playlist aswell as grifball.
Gemini Ace @ Apr 4th 2008 9:44AM
I'm totally hooked on the double xp weekends. And I have yet to try Grifball, so this should be awesome!
Neuromancer @ Apr 4th 2008 11:12AM
I gave up on the Spartan Officer achievement, I'm not even halfway there. Even with 2X XP weekends my XP moves up so slowly. That being said I may give this a shot just to see how it is.
Tyler @ Apr 4th 2008 11:26AM
not even half way there? i didn't know that achievement was made to be hard. you can't win 70 games? you probably shouldn't play halo anymore, sorry.
ps grifball is real bad
Neuromancer @ Apr 4th 2008 12:00PM
Not only am I probably not going to win 70 games, I don't even want to *play* 70 games. Thanks for being an asshat though.
nmmalone @ Apr 4th 2008 11:27AM
Betrayal fest...that is Grifball. But I think it's a fun game type except for when people get angry over a few betrayals.
DjDATZ @ Apr 4th 2008 12:46PM
The playlist is live at 2pm PDT today...not now. (Yes, I'm being nitpicky.) It'll go live about 15 mins before I get home from work. I'll definitely be hitting it up tonight.
jim @ Apr 4th 2008 3:03PM
this gametype is FUN... if you have a team thats alright :P
with a team that sucks, it can be really frustrating.
we played last night with 3 on a box, the strategy you can create on the fly is great.
but again, if your by yourself without a team and can be a real drag =/ get a party of friends or play on 1 box and you should have a great time.
Kevin @ Apr 4th 2008 3:56PM
wow i just got attacked for saying something bad about halo, is see what you mean now Dustin, ill leave the halo fanboys alone lol (i was joking with my first post so calm down.)
Teabag @ Apr 4th 2008 4:21PM
Played Halo 3 online for the first time today. My first ever multiplayer game too, btw (my ISP is shit, games lag, i don't bother. Halo 3 doesn't lag for some reason!). And i saw Grifball and hopped on to it! Wow...i was like WTF is going on? Till i figured it out when i got my grubby little hands on the bomb. Awesome game type, really. Halo 3 is just fantastic! Wanna get CoD 4 now!
