Video: 'Darkness' H3 Legendary Map Pack trailer
Bungie just released a new "Darkness" teaser trailer for Halo 3's upcoming Legendary Map Pack and what more can we say? Delectable? The new trailer can be viewed above, can be downloaded off of Bungie.net or can be taken off the XBLM and gives a preview of all three included maps; Avalanche, Blackout and Ghost Town. And, surprisingly enough, it's a very well done teaser. We aren't saying that Bungie has ever released a crappy trailer (ahem), but this one is dark, eerie, carries that emotional vibe and has a wickedly dark voice-over. Watch and get excited for April 15th. Love, X3F.

Ghost Town looks absolutely amazing.

So when is the real release date, AKA when are they free?
BobTheMonkey @ Apr 3rd 2008 2:37PM
What's a halo?

"When will the Legendary Map Pack be free?
We are not currently aware of any plans to release the Legendary Maps for free."

Seriously, it's the price of one movie ticket and I can promise you that you'll spend more than two hours on it.
>_>

That was to Philip.
I didn't notice the reply feature was back...
(Sorry for the double post)

Sorry, Dustin. But I only have ten dollars. CoD4 has four maps and Halo 3 has three maps. Which ones do I get? Which ones do I get? Which one has me shooting dudes in Chinatown? Oh yeah...
Dustin Burg @ Apr 3rd 2008 3:09PM
all that said ... the Legendary Map Pack :)
Josh @ Apr 3rd 2008 3:17PM
And 2 of CoD 4's new maps are cut straight out of campaign "like most of the originals maps int he game". Now you may say Halo has two remakes, well your correct but they are 2 of the most loved maps in the Halo series so its not a bad thing. Anyways, those maps look tight, the color and everything in them is nicely done and I can't wait to get them, first day purchase for me.

I wish Bungie would come out with another campaign level. Not everyone likes the competive multiplayer and getting teabagged incessantly by 12 year olds (no offense to those 12 year olds who abstain from teabaggery).
Mike-453 @ Apr 3rd 2008 3:52PM
YES!
I am one of the few that values campaign more then multiplayer, and I would love more skirmishes against some Covenant bastards.

That looked awesome and i loved the human skull on the legendary crest
Jayslacks @ Apr 3rd 2008 3:57PM
I've just been told by all my Live friends that I have to get both mappacks. So it looks like I won't be eating this week...
Drew @ Apr 4th 2008 12:58AM
$10 feeds you for a week?
Taylor @ Apr 3rd 2008 4:05PM
I love that bungie always puts "Love, Bungie." on stuffs. :)

With that narration I didn't know if it was Halo or LotR: Master Chief Goes to Mordor

The one thing I wish Bungie would get around to adding is some kind of leaderboard for meta scoring. I was so excited about the metascoring feature when the game came out and naively attempted to score some crazy scores, only to find I couldn't compare them anywhere on the site or through the game.
I haven't heard any other people complaining about this, but what do you guys think? Or maybe there is a leaderboard and I'm just retarded? Heh.
resplendentvole @ Apr 3rd 2008 5:42PM
You should check out highspeedhalo.net, they have a high score board, retro-style and all.
Knight Marquise @ Apr 3rd 2008 5:02PM
As with all things Halo. Day 1 purchase x 4 (whole family plays the game)
erivera3 @ Apr 3rd 2008 5:15PM
Halo is toooooo good.
Digital Limit @ Apr 3rd 2008 8:46PM
Just got back into playing Halo today. I love Standoff. It feels like classic Halo to me, probably because it doesn't have sniper rifles.
