Earthworm Jim,
MDK,
Dark Alliance and
Descent fanboys perk up your ears, because we have promising news for each franchise. Today, Interplay
confirmed that all four of these franchises are prime targets for future sequels after their company recorded rather nice profits last year. We'd be fools if we thought we could speculate to how, when or in what form these franchises will receive the sequel treatment, though we hope that the Interplay gods give us
Earthworm Jim on the Xbox 360. In retail form or
XBLA form, we'd be satisfied getting
Jim either way.

Great games (1st two anyway), I'd like to see them reimagined with 3D graphics but 2D gameplay intact.

Great, The soundtrack of these games will now be the majority of the songs Tommy Tallarico will play at Video Games Live next year. Uggh.
Mrblonde @ Apr 9th 2008 2:45PM
I wouldn't necessarily say that will be the case

Earthworm Jim blew my 14 year old mind back in the day. I would instantly cop an HD remake off XBLA and as long as they didn't screw it up, a 3-D retail game would be cool too. Earthworm Jim is a way bigger deal to me than Bionic Commando.
A new Descent could be cool too.

Gimme!
(Whatever happened to the PSP Earthworm jim game?)

Yes, an Earthworm Jim reissue and sequel would be nice for xbox live arcade as an oldschool 2D style.
Anyone remember, I think it was called R.O.B. on super nes?? or rocket possum on sega genesis? There are so many great 2D games that I would love to get as arcade games. Listen up Microsoft!!!

Dude... Rocket Knight Adventures! That game was great. I used to rent it all the time when I was younger.
Also-- Earthworm Jim? Hell. Yes.

Hurrah for Interplay, shame they can't do no Fallout sequels anymore, but hopefully they'll make up for it with some good old school remakes.
By the way I'm not dissing Bethesda, but Fallout under Interplay was so awesome it hurts.
