DC set to publish Gears of War comic in Oct.

As if the Prototype series wasn't enough, DC Comics has inked a deal to produce a comic book series for another high profile gaming franchise that some of you may be familiar with. A lil' franchise that goes by the name of Gears of War ... have you heard?

The Gears of War comic will debut later this October with a storyline focused on bridging the gap between the first Gears installment and Gears of War 2 which is set to release in November. More Gears storyline, more Gears artwork and more Gears goodness? Count us in with guns a blazing!

There is not one orignal x-box game or 360 game besides orange box that has a decent storyline. I dont know how much microsoft paid DC to do that. 360 has good games no games that have a decent plot. All microsoft games are just shoot and kill aliens.

I for one want to welcome you Patrick. You left PS3Fanboy on march 18th came here and haven’t looked back. We understand your love for the 360, a bit misguided on your comments, but we welcome you none the less. Reading articles through those blueray colored glasses while sipping Kool-Aid can really cause some issues we see, but really what else do you have to having made the system choice you did. Lots of movies to watch I guess. Or many hours to try to keep from flying your dragon into the ground with that awesome controller. (Fanboy)= (Check your brain at login page)

lol that was a good one. Bioshock, kill aliens, Halo kill aliens, gears of war, kill aliens, mass effect kill aliens. I said they don't have decent plots. Bioshock is only okay one from my friends who played just said it was repetitive. Also the fact 2k Boston is looking for ps3 developers. I like the 360, I just dont like Microsoft, gears and halo was suppose to be multi platformed but of course they bought them over and interfere with there games. Bungie was a sweet company until Microsoft and I hear it from Bungie.

To be honest, killing aliens can really make a game worthy of "good storyline/plot". They just have to make it right. Honestly do you wanna see another Human VS Human war game? i say get creative, go into space. Mass Effect used this setting as best ive ever seen. Creative alien races, massive space. Halo was a little slacky to be honest, it never fealt to space-like and it never felt that alien filled.
Sure you can have a good storyline without aliens or space but its definitly opens up ways to make your game creative and stand out. I just dont get why everyone has to make a big deal out of aliens in every game there is, they should only be making fun of the bad ones.
