FINALLY.
Though I will skip this one, you'd better believe I'll be right there when "Who's next" drops.
Gary Harwell @ Apr 18th 2008 11:08AM
Dude, if you actually read the post on Rock Band forums you'll realize Fanboy is being misleading. They officially announced the first three albums and said that information about "Who's Next" will be coming soon, effectively putting it back in the "rumored" bin.
snkngshps @ Apr 18th 2008 12:35PM
Not true Gary. I have read it on the official site as well. It says those albums are coming soon. They wouldn't announce that if it wasn't in the works. Therefore it's not a "rumor" it's an announcement of a future release.
I'm getting excited about the pixies.
Gary Harwell @ Apr 18th 2008 11:05AM
WHERE IS NIRVANA - NEVERMIND?!?!!?!
Neebs @ Apr 18th 2008 11:07AM
THE CARS FUCK YEAH
Excuse my excitement for something that will probably be a while.
Will @ Apr 18th 2008 11:10AM
Oh hell yeah! I wish there was some Pearl Jam on Rock Band.
harma41 @ Apr 18th 2008 11:14AM
This is great. And it might just be Priests greastest album.
I now finally have a compelling reason to buy the Rock Band.
Timur Tabi @ Apr 18th 2008 11:19AM
Will this be insanely difficult to play, like all other metal songs in Rock Band?
Gary Harwell @ Apr 18th 2008 11:22AM
I'm sorry, but I could care less about all this '80's music.
Deezul @ Apr 18th 2008 12:25PM
Here here. It's great and all that they're getting new content, but how about more music from THIS CENTURY, from artists have only released this century. Yes, I know Motley Crue is new, but it's still Motley Crue.
D Boy Flex @ Apr 18th 2008 11:23AM
FYI I don't know if this is across the board, but the 360 rock band bundle pack sells for 120 at walmart near my house. I have seen it at that price for months. They sell out, get more in, and the price does not change so if you are on the fence, 120 should sway you in the right direction.
Yar TTomlliw @ Apr 18th 2008 11:30AM
Really, more bands should exploit this as a chance to promote their own music. Just like iTUNES revolutionised the top 40 chart, this could well be the next step forward for bands wanting to attract more fanbase!
I'm SO glad Harmonix are doing this, (Activision, take note!!). The introduction of album downloads is a sheer brilliance, and can keep a franchise fresh for as long as they continue to support the movement.
Just a shame I'm gonna be holding off on a Rock Band purchase for a while yet ... damn that VAT, eh? :P
HazyCloud @ Apr 18th 2008 11:31AM
Hey, that's me. Thanks for the recog. I'm glad Hmx is finally starting to push albums.
In Kotaku's QA with HMX, they mention it is possible we will see a full artist's catalogue.
Ctrl C'd and Ctrl V'd for your pleasure....
What happened to The Who?
We will have a specific announcement about that coming up soon regarding some work that we have coming down the pike with The Who in general that I think people are gonna be pretty happy about...and in general what you're gonna see sorta deep dives with particular artists, where with some artists...of the appropriate stature, you'll see us doing more than whole albums, potentially even entire catalogs.
Gemini Ace @ Apr 18th 2008 11:31AM
Yawn.
ditchell @ Apr 18th 2008 11:48AM
Pixies! woo!
Sofun @ Apr 18th 2008 12:00PM
What he said! Too bad it wasn't Trompe Le Monde though.
drew @ Apr 18th 2008 11:58AM
wait til they come out with some stuff like red hot chili peppers bloodsugarsexmagik or nirvana or other classics like those. if they come out with something better than judas priest there dlc could break records no doubt.
Josh @ Apr 18th 2008 12:33PM
whooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
egotrippen @ Apr 18th 2008 1:02PM
A Pixies announcement? X3F, you made my day.
At least three songs on that record are the best song in the world.
rockeranimefreak @ Apr 18th 2008 1:20PM
OMG THE PIXIES! :D
can't wait to play Debaser,Tame,Gouge Away, Crackity Jones and more! w00t!
Gary Harwell @ Apr 18th 2008 3:55PM
Ok, apparently people like The Pixies. Good luck singing it on Expert. So many random scoops and speaking/screaming parts it's going to be impossible. When do we get songs that are actually singable?
qbix @ Apr 18th 2008 5:50PM
Doolittle? DOOLITTLE!? I just wet my pants. Thank You, Harmonix. Thank You.
Engie @ Apr 18th 2008 11:20PM
Judas Priest! I love this album. I am getting it...although I wish it wasn't so expensive. I think $9.99 is a more reasonable price.
bsbauman @ Apr 21st 2008 12:36PM
bout damn time, this was long overdue and everyone has been waiting for their promised full album dlc since the day the game was released! Kudos for getting it to the masses finally; but they could have picked any number of albums that would be more appealing than Judas Priest... Hippies rock!
