Shareholder meeting reveals perfect scores for GTA

Is there really such a thing as a perfect game? Of course not, but they can be good enough to be considered the best there is, and Take Two seems to already know that about GTA IV. According to a post on GamePolitics, the upper levels of Take Two have already laid eyes on reviews of their game and: "to a one, they are perfect scores. My mom couldn't write better reviews." Disregarding the obvious your-mom joke, this means that we definitely have a quality game coming later this month (as if that was in doubt). And it should be interesting to witness the internet fanboy meltdown if any publication dares to give it anything less than a perfect score.

My desperate excitment is going to give me an aneurysm.

Same.
I'm having difficulty making it through each day.
It's the first thing on my mind when I wake up in the morning.

I'll read GameSpot's review first.
Zing!

if this games zoo great why havent we seen any gameplay yet? Would think they would be showing it off.
Swagman @ Apr 18th 2008 7:31PM
In all the years that I have been playing GTA titles, especially since they went 3D with GTA III, Rockstar has never shown off any more of the game prior to release than they have to date with GTA IV.
For all you conspiracy theorist out there. The simple reason why they are not showing off any more of the game than they have, is simply because that is always how they have marketed the GTA franchise.
N @ Apr 18th 2008 7:41PM
Swagman's right. As far as I know, Rockstar has never released an official gameplay video for any of the 3D GTAs. They usually don't even hand out information on upcoming iterations until a few months before release.

You say the thing on every post about GTA4.
"Wheres the game play videos?"
You must be either an idiot or a troll.
Which one is it? Personally I think both.

I'd actually be happy to see a site give this game a less-than-perfect score. As is obvious, no game is perfect...so there has to be at least a few flaws. It simply means said site would have the cojones to give it an honest, unbiased score (assuming it's not just to get page-views).
potato @ Apr 18th 2008 9:07PM
That doesn't make sense. When you see a 5-star movie review in the paper, do you believe the movie is perfect? Of course not, it simply means that it's so good that it's a must-see.
Or restaurants - does a star rating mean the food can't be improved in any way whatsoever? Of course not.
Same with games. A 10/10 simply implies an experience so satisfying no serious gamer should deny themselves the chance to play it.
Matt @ Apr 18th 2008 8:29PM
You guys keep saying that "no game is perfect", well, in my opinion, Ocarina of Time was a perfect game. :)
Arno @ Apr 18th 2008 8:41PM
Ocarina of Time sucked, there I said it. I don't get what people are talking about, that game was tedious and boring. Guess that's just me.
Anyway, I can't wait for this one! :D
Matt @ Apr 18th 2008 9:02PM
Well, Arno, anybody can find any game tedious and boring. You're entitled to your opinion.
However, you are in the minority opinion on Ocarina of time, just as when someone eventually says GTA IV sucks, they'll more than likely be in the minority opinion. That's fine. Nobody wants uniformity anyways.
Now, if you're going to talk about candidates for "perfect game" a lot of people, including myself, would go with Ocarina.
I don’t think the idea of a perfect game is impossible or even implausible. No matter how great something is there will always be people who hate it because everybody else likes it. Some people just think that going against the grain makes them special.

Ocarina debacle on a 360 blog
Never change internet. Never change ;)
Matt @ Apr 19th 2008 5:31AM
I would hardly use the word "debacle"...
BowserUSC @ Apr 19th 2008 11:46PM
I don't know if it was my age when I played it but I have to agree, ocarina is the closest game I have played that has come to perfection.
ccc @ Apr 19th 2008 1:30AM
Grrr, I sent this info in yesterday, check the info box Terrence.
Richard DeV @ Apr 19th 2008 5:17PM
Ocarina of Time is a perfect game.
SadisticHam @ Apr 19th 2008 12:07PM
I always preferred Links awakening..and still consider it the best Zelda game around - i guess that one was a bit lesser known cause it was a Gameboy title.
Intentless @ Apr 19th 2008 6:27PM
I'd be with you on that... If it isn't better than Ocarina it is damn close.
HernanGL @ Apr 20th 2008 12:19AM
let me guess..
xbox360 - perfect
PS3 - 9.2 (in the mission 5 on part 3 when a truck passes by on the intersecction there's a slight framerate drop, like from 60 fps to 58; if you play race mode online with an ukranian account the game lags on the 2nd lap)
