another bit of the
UT3 tease. ShackNews has
confirmed that Epic has nothing in the pipeline regarding any
Gears of War 2 demo. Like
Halo 3 before it, the big holiday Xbox release has plenty of hype on its own to sell well. Plus, as Epic notes, creating a demo removes that much more from design, QA, production (and more) from the main game's development. They are, of course, correct, further noting that the game's two year production cycle would have made a demo even more difficult for Epic to pull off. *Sigh* All for the best we suppose.

After playing the first one, I don't need a demo. I know it's a bland, colorless, world populated with masculine stereotypes that only exist in video games and gay bars.
Pretty graphics, though.

there are some games i like and GOW was one of them.
tho i dont play it anymore, it was fun online.
i waited for H3 at midnight, GTAIV i will be there at midnight and GOW2 i will be there at midnight.

Well...there isn't a point in making a demo for these games.Developers probably need to pay MS in order to upload stuff on XBLM.
But when it is certain that the game will sell millions of copies, why bother?

Actually, COD4 had a demo. Well, at least for the PC. I remember playing it and telling myself again and again how sweet the game was and how i was gonna buy it the moment it releases.
And meh, i didn't expect any demo for Gears 2. Demos only come out for avg. - crappy games. Big game developers don't really give a shit about demos anymore. Too scared i suppose. Sad. Very sad.

There was only two real reasons I enjoyed the first one...
1) The cinematic parts like when you first meet a burserker
and 2) CO-OP (The main reason)

I actually played the first though 3 times but never alone ha... they are hinting at maybe 4 player co-op in the latest GI. If that happens I might, might, get it on release but doubtful. The first was great but think the second might not do as well.

I do not care one bit that Gears 2 is not getting a demo, just like I don't care that there was no Halo 3 or GTA IV demo. I know what to expect already and I feel that the only games that I want a demo for are new franchises.

This game is going to melt my face off. I still play Gears of War at least for an hour everyday since it's been released (just played about 3 hours ago). It's full of B-movie cheese,ridiculous and over-the-top stuff like chainsaw bayonets and buckets of gore. This is the stuff badass horror movies like Evil Dead and Dead Alive are made of.
Gears of War 2 will be the first game I will ever stay out a midnight launch for.
