FutureShop plans GTA IV event at select stores

Canadian gamers looking to score their copy of Grand Theft Auto IV as soon as possible are in luck. Big box retailer FutureShop is holding midnight launch events at select stores across the Great White North in anticipation of the big game. Select customers will be treated to a IV branded baseball cap while live DJs spin tunes at the event. Also on site will be Sony street teams allowing gamers to demo various titles (we doubt GTA IV will be playable due to its M rated nature however).
One lucky winner at each event will also be able to win a PlayStation 3, we say lucky because a PS3 probably trades for a decent amount towards an Xbox 360. We kid, we kid.

Am I the only one that didn't preorder here? I never preorder and always get games on launch. Did preorder Halo 3 limited edition, but I even went back to a few stores later and they had tons of copies.
I expect the same with GTA4.

I'm taking advantage of this deal, I went in last Wednesday after seeing these details posted on their forums, and fully paid for my special eidition. I'll be at the Markham store Monday the 28th at 9pm if anyone wants to meet up. Hollaaaaaaa! lol

When I read this, I was under the impression that it was only these stores opening for the midnight release, but upon further investigation i found that all (or most) Futureshops will be doing a midnight release outside of Quebec. It is just these few places that will be having events for the long wait.
