Rivet, new 360 media sharing for Mac

Mac users looking to take advantage of the Xbox 360's media sharing capabilities have thus far been confined to a single program, Connect360. Those have read the headline have probably realized that there is now another choice. The program is called Rivet and comes from Cynical Peak Software. It does everything that Connect360 does (streaming music, videos, pictures, etc) with some minor distinctions. The largest of which is that Rivet replicates your Mac's folder structure as opposed to displaying your media in a single list (a very long one if you've got a lot of media). Another difference is that Rivet comes in at $18.95 (compared to Connect360's $20). The last distinction is that Rivet is Leopard only, so Mac users who have yet to upgrade their OS X are left out of the fun. For the rest of you, there is a demo available from Cynical Peak Software. Connect 360 works just fine for me.
And I don't have leopard on mac anyways.

I'm running leopard, and I've had Connect 360 for 2 years. I'm very happy with it, and the support is always fast to update the software with each dashboard/os update. If I weren't already subscribed to free updates for the $15 I paid, I'd consider this software. But for now, thxnothx.

Connect 360 stopped working for me when I changed routers. I had the basic Linksys wireless-G, then switched to a T-Mobile version of the same router for the @home thing. Now my 360 can't see my mac on the T-Mobile router. When I try to use my old router, my 360 crashes every time I try to select a music source with Connect 360 running. Unfortunately I'm not running Leopard either.

i had that same problem, check the faq on the connect 360 site

if i remember correctly all i had to do was open it up in system preferences, went to settings, access, then disabled the access control limit

Connect360 works great except for the fact that I have movies stored in several locations, and it's a pain to have to go and switch the Movie location every time I want to watch something that happens to be in another location (have I used that word enough yet?).

I don't have Leopard either, so it's a clear decision for me :P

I have no idea whats on the mac, but cant you just use Zune software to share media?! thats what i use on my XP! I have no idea if its on the mac though.

With all the talk about media streaming, it took me months to realize I could just hook up my external drive (home of all my media anyway) directly to the Xbox, and navigate a fully-controlled file structure with the xbox remote. Seriously, who needs streaming? 500GB media drive FTW.
