Rumored GTA IV achievements are legit

Remember earlier last month when we revealed the rumored Grand Theft Auto IV achievement list? Looks like they were legit after all. Considering some people have got their hands on the title, Xbox.com has updated the game page with the official achievement list.

A good mix of single and multiplayer points comprise the entire 1000 point list. From simple tasks like getting off the boat (completing the first mission) to taking a Rockstar developer out online, this is one achievement list that was built to last.

With only a few days between us and GTAIV, we can't wait to stop talking about it and actually play it! See you online.

That's a terrible achievement. What are players supposed to do if they never get to play against Rockstar?

I agree but I think its one of those if you beat someone who has got this achievement you get it type things you know, or I could be totally mistaken and in which case SHENANIGANS!

Would have been better if this achievement was more viral like the Small Arms achievement.

You guys are stupid, this is SO old. The achievements were shown on XBOX Live Last week.

Too lazy to go back to the other thread about these 'lame' achievements. Pretty sure though 75% percent of posters disproved of them and hoped they weren't real. Meh.

Anyways, I just going to drink some beer and take my time driving drunk through Liberty City. Screw rushing the game.

Heh, I don't understand all the hate from the last posting of the cheevos. The "bad english" remarks made no sense, and all of them seem in line with what I want from achievements.

I look forward to snagging these as I play through the game, and don't forget the incentive to play through again for the "speed run" achievement (at a lofty 30 hours, though, jeez).

"Unlock the special ability of Helicopter"

I think they're missing an extra "the" there, don't you? (Unlock the special ability of *the* taxi)

Other than that, the achievements are almost completely uninspired, but since it's Grand Theft Auto, I'm willing to give it a pass!
