Gary Busey returns for more Saints Row 2 vids
You may recall Gary Busey's Saint's Row 2 videos from earlier this month. They are, to say the least, insane. That is to say that Gary Busey is insane, but that's okay. It works for him, makes him money. What we're getting at here is that Uncle Gary is back with more Saints Row 2 videos, and he's as crazy as ever. We know the purpose of these videos is to advertise Saints Row 2, but we just can't get over Gary. Frankly, "People don't like getting shot in the face" may be the best line we've ever heard. Find another video featuring Tulsa's insane favorite son after the break.
Fun Fact: Gary Busey used to play a character named Sprunk on a local Tulsa, Oklahoma television show. Sprunk is also a fictional soda in the Grand Theft Auto series. Now Busey is advertising Saints Row 2, a Grand Theft Auto competitor. Interesting, no?

That was awesome
TORO @ Apr 29th 2008 3:19PM
These are hilarious!
Make me wonder though, GTA IV is a technical marvel to have been able to achieve those kinda of graphics.
nerrrrrrd @ Apr 29th 2008 3:39PM
I hate Gary Busey almost as much as I hate Tulsa.
Richard Mitchell @ Apr 29th 2008 3:51PM
Tulsa's not that bad.
DupontNumber24 @ Apr 29th 2008 4:23PM
I grew up here in Tulsa and hated it, but after moving around all over the place for about 8 years, I decided this place wasn't so bad.
@Richard Mitchell
I like how you found a way to squeeze in some GTA into the story, cuz there just isn't enough news about it lately. :)
Britton @ Apr 29th 2008 3:46PM
yawn.
Grimm @ Apr 29th 2008 4:03PM

mike @ Apr 29th 2008 4:06PM
I'm looking forward for this game, but it's just ugly compared to GTA4
ManicBomber @ Apr 29th 2008 4:18PM
I kind of like Saints Row 2's look. I think it's very comparable to GTA IV.
nerrrrrrd @ Apr 29th 2008 4:07PM
Well I wasn't a big fan of it the few years I lived there. Not much to do. Could never tell what the weather was going to be like. Sometimes there was some good metal shows, I liked that. But I pretty much poo poo on the midwest all together so don't mind me :) I enjoy being near an ocean.

I have to say, the two series really seem to be separating, similar roots, but GTA is going for ultra realism, versus the cartoon styling of SR, which I actually prefer (maybe it was all the bugs bunny I watched as a child) I'd rather chuck people into oncoming trains and chainsaw them with a fully customizable character than tap a button to move at a slow jog and play for many hours before I can change my shirt... not that I don't love GTA, but I feel GTA is the sort of game you need at least 4-5 hour chunks of time to even consider picking up, whereas SR is the kind of game you can just run around for a half an hour killing and blowing stuff up and then go back to the real world.

Priceless.
Sammy D Kat @ Apr 29th 2008 6:44PM
my favorite: "filled with more lead than a Chinese toy"
sam @ Apr 29th 2008 5:12PM
saints row 2 looks crap not many people are going to have much interest in this cus of gta 4
Grimm @ Apr 29th 2008 5:54PM
You are completely wrong...so wrong you should kill yourself. They are both "sandbox" games with gangs but thats where the similarities stop. Saint's Row is over the top, unrealistic, cartoony, and doesn't take itself seriously at all. On the other hand GTA is trying to become serious and is focusing on graphics and story. Both games are great and to say GTA is the only one to purchase is ignorant.
Digital Limit @ Apr 29th 2008 5:13PM
Saints Row is doing well to differentiate themselves from GTA by being as arcady and silly as possible.
I know as long as they bring back Insurance Fraud, I'll be happy.
sam @ Apr 29th 2008 6:06PM

After playing gta4, im looking alot more forward to saints row 2. The only thing I dont like about saints row 2 is the lesser graphics compared to gta4. Then again gta4s graphics blow in the background and hurt my eyes. SR 2 may not look as nice as gta, but at least my eyes wont be quinting the whole time.
Im liking what you can do in SR2 more then what you can do in gta4. Stuff like taser people, use people as human shields, throw them off rooftops, etc etc. Also, the controls in gta4 (driving and walking and shooting) are all MUCH crappier then saints row. The problem is they are trying to go the realistic route, which just ends up being less fun then the turn around instantly, sidestep and fraile your arms randomly to knock some1 out route that SR takes. Assuming SR2 has the same control style of SR, I am going to like the game alot more. I just hope they beef up the multiplayer opttions. GTA4s multiplayer is not as fun as saints row because of the wonky controls aiming and shooting, but it does have mroe, and better modes. So SR2 better have some new fun city wide stuff, rather then just bling bling and whatnot which the first game had.
ryan @ Apr 30th 2008 12:25PM
there was no other way to improve upon GTA without becoming more realistic if you think about it.
ryan @ Apr 30th 2008 12:15PM
this looks like a sad attempt to sell Saint's Row 2. i dunno, it just comes off looking a little pathetic...hiring a ranting Busy...
longhairbilly @ Apr 30th 2008 12:59PM
I have to say, I am looking forward to Saints Row 2 more then I was for GTA.
refinedsugar @ May 2nd 2008 11:14PM
Not as good/funny as the first batch. For true irony sake, I'd love to see Gary get voice work in the next GTA.
