Crime in Liberty City up nearly 900 million percent

It seems crime has taken a serious jump in the last few hours and the only place affected has been the little known city called, Liberty City. According to the LCPD Crime Blotter, crime is up nearly 900 million percent from yesterday alone! While we could only speculate what could have caused the spike, we think it's safe to say that it's going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.

In all seriousness, the LCPD Blotter (which tracks multiplayer statistics in Grand Theft Auto IV; available on the Rockstar Games Social Club) showcases some huge numbers for a title inching-in on its first 12 hours of release (more in the European/Australian region).

Some of the more interesting numbers include:

Crime rate up 848,780,099% from previous day
24,700 criminals have been arrested
781,556 cars have been stolen
8,241,576 call outs have been made
221,525 N.O.O.S.E. call outs have been made

Remember kids, crime doesn't pay. Unless you rob them after you hit them with your car that is.

I have to buy this freakn game ASAP. Dont have the time now but i cant stop reading these articles on it. Hows the multiplayer?

The multiplayer is genius and has probably added more than 100 hours to this game for me. Up to 16 players can roam Liberty City without limits. I love getting in a car with my friend and gunning down people, upping that wanted level, then holing up and destroying any cops that come after us.

I thought I'd be playing the single player mode for the first few days but have yet to touch it because MP is that good.

Seriously how does everyone not own this yet? The multiplayer is fantastic (the lobby is so addictive) - and the single player is pure genius.

less than 5 minutes into the game I bumped the back of a patrol car
at about 4 MPH, they proceeded to pull me out of the car, I ran and
jumped into the river, they sent helicopters and boat who opened fire
on me with machine guns.... LCPD are jerks.

Greatest moment in gaming history - taking Michelle for a date (near the start of the game), hitting the kerb to right, rolling the car, killing 3 pedestrians, until the car lands on the roof and skids into a police car, and I get myself nicked.

Glory be - Five minutes after posting that I finally got into the site. Only one of my 14 ZiTs actually posted to the site - not sure why that is or how it is calculated. But the police blotter is funny - I guess all of that congestion in Broker means not too many folks have made it into Algonquin and beyond yet. My marathon stats are woeful - it would take me a year to get 100% in any of those categories.
