Vigilante 8 Meteor screenshots crash land

After doing our not so daily internet rounds, we came across a few "newish" screenshots from Isopod Labs' upcoming XBLA release Vigilante 8 Arcade. The new screenshots (viewable in the gallery below) are taken from the Meteor Crater arena and not only depict the usual explosive vehicle gameplay we all know and love, but also some of the arena's unique features including dust devils, tunnel teleports and (of course) meteor showers. We must admit, V8 is coming together quite nicely.

And that, my friend, is a marvelous thing. Too bad it won't be as in depth as Internet 76, though. The V8 series was always a little too dumbed down.

I guess they didn't bother to change the engine from I'76 either. Looks like an XBLA game.

Is this a port of the older V8, or are all the levels and characters new in this one?

Wow, can't wait for this, I don't care what anyone says V8 was flippin awesome! V8 2nd Offense was crap though. Anyway this looks awesome. Looks like it's set after 2nd Offense as Clyde is not in it. Interesting. Looks great if you ask me, any word on when it releases?
