Okay, we know that most everyone is
still playing
Grand Theft Auto IV. That's fine. We can accept that. However, with summer fast approaching, we find ourselves reflecting on games past. Given the usually thin trickle of releases during the summer months, it's a good time to take some older (and cheaper) games for a spin. For instance, we just wrapped up the single-player campaign in
Marathon: Durandal for
XBLA. The
upcoming DLC got us all excited, what can we say? Of course, we don't speak for everyone, so we must ask again: what will you be playing this weekend?

GTA in my quest to join the 100% club before the deadline.

Playing way too much Grand Theft Auto 4, that's for sure. Yet I somehow ended up playing Halo 3. That's about far in the past I got. Friend wanted to beat legendary so I helped him out.
vidGuy @ May 9th 2008 1:15PM
GTAIV, Halo 3, Lost Cities, and Rock Band, same as most weekends.
Lewis @ May 9th 2008 1:16PM
Nothing at all, I want to take a break from it all for awhile.
Everyone at X3F, Enjoy your gaming this weekened :)

Marathon? *scoffs* Yeah, that's what I'll be playing! hahaha! GTA, but I should play one other game...
Condemned 2 or COD4. maybe.
Tobias @ May 10th 2008 6:38PM
I have 3 big final exams this monday and tuesday so i'll be studying most of the weekend, but i know i'll find some time to open up a few heads in GTA4... And i might try to get a rank or two in COD4

It's handhelds all the way for me:I'm flying across the country to spend a long weekend with my in-laws. Oh joy.
So I intend to polish off the campaign in Advance Wars, and probably give some air time (quite literally) to New York Crosswords. Maybe I'll dip back into some of my DS platformers - New Super Mario and Super Princess Peach.
Mind you, ever since getting a 360, gaming on the DS has felt a little pointless, as I'm constantly aware that there won't be any achievements unlocked or gamerscore increased.

Bioshock hopefully. Plus I have agreed to help someone out with some cheevos in Crackdown, and hopefully a group of us will get some games going in Vegas 2.
And maybe I will do some revising for my Uni exams, but I have to priorities, and my gaming comes first ; )

IV for single player.
4 for multi player.
Will @ May 9th 2008 2:10PM
I'll be playing Lost: Via Domus and possible Halo 3 for the first time.
KilgoreTrout XL @ May 9th 2008 2:47PM
Mostly GTA IV, but I'll definitely be checking out the Team Snipers weekend in Halo.
Vcize @ May 9th 2008 2:50PM
1. Gears (always)
2. GTA4
3. Grid demo (try it)
Sgt Barone @ May 9th 2008 3:46PM
GTA IV, Halo 3, and Rock Band. Glad Team Snipers is here for us to try!
Bitter Kevin @ May 9th 2008 5:20PM
BOOO to X3F for not beating Marathon until now. Of course I only beat it like a month ago. I'm kinda bummed they aren't releasing some of those fan made single player scenarios or Infinity as DLC- more multiplayer maps for a game I don't play multiplayer is kind of pointless. Maybe I'll finally try Marathon LIVE this weekend then...
Jay @ May 9th 2008 6:31PM
I'll tell you what i'm NOT playing: ANYTHING!
Bought GTA4 the other day, and before I even got to put it in the 360, I fired up the system and got the bast*rd stepchild of the RRoD: The lower right light and E 74. Apparently, a chip in the system blew, and my system is currently unusable. Microsoft will fix it, for $100. So all you RRoD's get a 3-year extension on your warranty, and my 14 month old system just took a dump on me.
$60 of wholesome goodness sitting on my desk and it can't be played. I'm going to go into a depression.

Who is playing GTA still? Once the single player is done theres not much left to do but wander round a shell of a city...most people have already ditched the multiplayer and migrated back to COD4.
Bit of a bump really.
