Viva Piñata and Scene It? sequels are real!

Mention of both sequels was discovered on one of Microsoft's press sites, where someone accidently uploaded all of the categories for this week's MGD08 announcements including categories for Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise and Scene It? 2. And being the good reporters that we are, we went out and confirmed that both of these two unannounced titles are in fact listed on Microsoft's press site, though all game media has since been pulled. But not before the crew over at NeoGAF grabbed screenshot love from the Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise folder. So, not only do we get leaked word that Viva Piñata and Scene It? sequels are headed our way, but we also get a first look at Trouble in Paradise! Enjoy the screens!

Is this.... exciting news?
NATO_Duke @ May 12th 2008 10:24AM
Yeah its great news. Most of us who played VP loved it. Maybe you should give it a try, or are you just too hardcore for that.
Deck @ May 12th 2008 8:44PM
Never meant to imply that... I just never realized it had gotten such a good reception to have a sequel be quite exciting.
James @ May 12th 2008 2:55AM
Hell yeah it's exciting news! I'm not ashamed to be a Viva Piñata Fanboy!
xenocidic @ May 12th 2008 8:32AM
Same here! colour me excited.
deck, have you ever played VP?
CharleyTony @ May 12th 2008 3:05AM
I sure hope that they include a lot of different game modes in Viva 2 ...
One of the pictures really make me think about co-op play... ( red circle over a shovel and other "grey" circle over a water bocket )
cant wait to see MS show us all the things that they didn't annouce before.
K1LLER HORNET @ May 12th 2008 4:10AM
i'm excited for all three titles SC2, VP2, BK3 :D
RARE kind of moved consoles with me coz i owned an N64, XBOX & now X360 : ) only wish Goldeneye came to XBLA - would be cool if it leaked onto the internet & you could transfer it onto a memory unit & play : )
MedRed @ May 12th 2008 4:19AM

jose_edwaldo @ May 12th 2008 4:46AM
Scene It 2?.....Great news......I've played the first one to death......Hopefully it'll be released in two forms, a pack with the controllers again, and a standalone game. Don't want to have to buy the controllers a second time.
DiscoGhost @ May 12th 2008 9:03AM
f that. Scene it? 2...what happened to DLC? why are they releasing another whole game? *grumble grumble*
dylan @ May 12th 2008 12:55PM
discoghost, I couldn't agree more, I bought the first under the assumption DLC would be a regular feature...
Boff @ May 12th 2008 4:47AM
Yay more Pinatas!! Hope this time it gets the marketing it deserves.
IncredibleBulk92 @ May 12th 2008 5:09AM
Damn this is the best news all week, a VP sequel. Hope its a true sequel not a stupid knock off like Party Animals
IncredibleBulk92 @ May 12th 2008 5:13AM
Actually just looked at the screenshots and its clear its a sequel to the original. Why are there 2 cursors in the screenshots? True coop gardening? Bizarre! Also what's up with the graveyard, Pinatas can't die... can they :'(
burgundymax @ May 12th 2008 9:13AM
Hell yeah, im 23 years old and can lie when i comes to viva pinata. I think the first one was a hit, just not marketed right.
Tony @ May 12th 2008 10:37AM
God, can't wait for VP2. There's at least three new pinatas shown here, some sort of multiplayer component, seemingly a better use of the bad guys (Prof. Pester, for example) and even additional weather effects.
I hope it's not super far off.
h0mi @ May 12th 2008 1:51PM
I'm hoping the VP sequel has an easier interface and less busy work. I played it briefly, enjoyed it but never played it again.
Slidersq @ May 12th 2008 5:48PM
sequel to Scene-it. What ever happened to the DLC for the first one?
Matter @ May 12th 2008 7:42PM
I hope in VP2 that the garden size is much much larger. I found I ran out of room in the first VP.
