Even though we can't quite figure out how it's possible, we've been informed that Carmine will in fact
be back in
Gears of War 2 with or without his head attached. Knowing this, the action figure gurus over at NECA created an
Anthony "Tony" Carmine action figure that's set to release exclusively at this year's Comic Con. This seven inch tall Carmine figure comes complete with Lancer and Gnasher in hand and will only be available at the convention between July 24th and the 27th. We wonder if his head is detachable? Pics below.

They killed him off because he wasn't beefy enough for Gears of War. Cause CliffyB likes 'em real beefy.
c4v3man @ May 15th 2008 3:51PM
I don't quite understand why people like carmine so much...I could definitely see how they could develop him into a worthwhile character, but there's no real substance in GOW 1 that make him worth bringing back.
ryan @ May 15th 2008 3:55PM
it's that whole "never taking the mask off" thing. people find mystery in a character like that.
Neuromancer @ May 15th 2008 4:39PM
Exactly like Boba Fett, who had like 3 lines in the old movies but people loved him.
Sunny @ May 15th 2008 7:41PM
Yeah, but Boba Fett also had super bad ass armor, and played a rather large role in the story.
RESISTANCE @ May 15th 2008 4:13PM
Remember how that Locust can chant something and bring dead Locusts back to life. My bets on this as to why Carmine is back.
iFester @ May 15th 2008 4:20PM
No, no, they had Miracle Max make him a chocolate covered pill. The only catch was he couldn't go swimming for at least an hour.
ZEBRA NINER @ May 15th 2008 5:56PM
Dude, The Princess Bride. Nice.
Dom @ May 15th 2008 4:28PM
I think RESISTANCE is on to something here. I bet thats it. Good work!
Microswirl @ May 15th 2008 4:46PM
Maybe there's multiple Carmines, an army of thousands of Carmine clones used to fight the Locust horde! Epic!
Erik @ May 15th 2008 5:09PM
It's official: Carmine is the new Sergeant Johnson.
Appears to die at every opportunity, yet shows up in the sequel.
thecmoneyshow @ May 15th 2008 5:11PM
I thought the mask was a regular army issue (like a storm trooper!)
SadisticHam @ May 15th 2008 5:37PM
I figured carmine was like the storm troopers, lots of them that just die at every possible chance. I found it rather funny in gears one finding bodies of them and seeing them die. o.0
I don't mind them bringing him back, as long as he drops dead again for amusement. ;D
Max @ May 15th 2008 5:49PM
Hey Carmine, is that your neck?... or are you just happy to see me?
JohnHeist @ May 15th 2008 8:57PM
Lame.
It's going to be his brother or something. Notice how they made his last name "Carmine", so they can get away with that.
If it's "the" Carmine from Gears 1, lame.
Cal @ May 15th 2008 9:07PM
Well at least there won't be any doubting of his race this time around?
Urza @ May 16th 2008 12:31AM
Carmine and the locust wearing masks seem to consistently be the most popular. I wouldn't call it Boba Fett syndrome, I'd call it.. that guy could be me syndrome. Faceless heroes models let you be behind the mask.
Boff @ May 16th 2008 4:38AM
What if he's a robot sent back in time from the future to save mankind and protect Sarah Connor from the Locust?
That's what my money's on.
Daniel Rose @ May 16th 2008 5:14PM
CARMINE IS A CYBORG! Watch what I tell ya! Give them a few months and you will see.
Hobo Fight Club @ May 19th 2008 6:24AM
Noooooo!!!!! Must I pay an exorbitant (yes, its a real word) amount of money on Ebay to get a toy of the best character in the game? Why is it that Carmine and the Helljumpers from Halo are the coolest looking characters in their respective franchises? Am I alone in that opinion?
