Lost Planet: Colonies goes gold

There are two things we know for sure about Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - COLONIES Edition. First, someone at Capcom needs to fire the guy who makes these names up, for serious. Second, the Xbox 360 and PC exclusive is almost here.
Yesterday Capcom announced the platinum release of Lost Planet, which includes new missions, multiplayer maps and modes (including the ability to play as the evil Akrid), has gone gold. So throw on your parka and make a warm cup-o-coffee, it's about to get chilly up-in-this 'ma.
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - COLONIES Edition *sigh* hits retail on May 27.

Use the stick... Don't use the stick!
I actually LOVED this game. I only rented it (twice), but really had a good time finishing the single-player "campaign". I never even thought about playing the multiplayer at the time, but I'm definitely down for it.

OK, someone has to say this; I can't wait, this gaming is going to be fucking awesome. haters step off. I love Lost Planet, but I felt cheated by the PC and PS3 ports. Now we get all that stuff back, and then some. First day purchase for me.

Yeah, that makes two of us. LP has some of the most fun multiplayer available on the 360, can't wait for all the additions they've made.

Damn right this'll be a Day 1 grab. The PC port sucked, just mapped the mouse/kb controls into it, and that's it. It was still very much a console game. I rented it on the console, finished it, loved it, wanted to buy it, but more stuff came out, so it got shoved to the side. Bought the PC version, played it maybe twice, never again. It was definitely made for the console, but man, I haven't (hadn't?) had that much fun in a long time, definitely one of my fav 360 games. The action was just over the top, like live action anime battles. The explosions were especially incredible. I'll be grabbing it just to experience it all again, AND to get into the multiplayer. Playing as those awesome Akrid bugs? Come on! Well deserving of a purchase, can't wait!
