Free TimeShift DLC shifts to not free
Remember that free TimeShift DLC that dropped earlier this week? We hope you snapped it up quick, because it looks like it wasn't supposed to be free. It seems some Xbox Live Marketplace ninjas have infiltrated Microsoft HQ and changed the price of "Urban Redual" to 800 MS Points. The other piece of DLC "Futures-Past," however, remains free. We're not quite sure what happened, but it's clear that there was a mix-up somewhere. Whether or not time powers were involved has yet to be confirmed. Whether or not "takesies-backsies" was declared is also unconfirmed at this time.

no one plays this trash... people are playing one of the many halo killers... CALL OF DUTY 4.
icedemon @ May 23rd 2008 6:05PM
Many?? I didn't know there was more than one. Is COD4 a halo killer because it's not #1? People still play Halo 2 and 3 online. Don't believe me go check out bungie.net.
I thought this was Xbox360fanboy not COD4fanboy.
UNSCleric @ May 24th 2008 12:19AM
Call of Duty 4 sucks though..
Also, it was always known this content was going premium on the 23rd...so this really isn't news.

^What he said.
By making it $10, they destroyed the only possible hope that anyone was going to play this DLC at all. Not that anyone was...
ZEBRA NINER @ May 23rd 2008 2:40PM
OH man! No way! hahaha! That sucks, they should totally make this DLC free! I wouldn't say it's the most popular game.
ManicBomber @ May 23rd 2008 2:43PM
I have really been enjoying this game.
Mr. Balance @ May 23rd 2008 2:47PM

Gamertag: GOPAL892005 @ May 23rd 2008 6:13PM

Big Filth @ May 23rd 2008 2:50PM
I cant even get myself to rent this game. I was looking at it the other day. I would maybe buy the whole game for 800 ms points if it included the DLC.
Jonman @ May 23rd 2008 3:01PM
Free for me!
Not that I own the game, but I'm slightly obsessive about nabbing free DLC just on the offchance that I acquire the game at a later date.
ZEBRA NINER @ May 23rd 2008 3:25PM
Yeah, I normally do that too! I totally spaced this one, and I was going to get it with Gamefly!
PerfectStrategy @ May 23rd 2008 4:38PM
Yep, I watch Major Nelson and other places, anything that is free I download immediately (120GB elite hard drive). I don't have the game but I have the content for free now whether I ever buy it cheap or rent it.
Also, even if you don't have an Elite. You could download it while it's free and then just delete it. It will be in your download history forever.
Exo @ May 23rd 2008 3:03PM
major nelson listed it as free till the 23rd on his site, so it was not a mistake.
Deck @ May 23rd 2008 3:35PM
I don't care about this game but that is a pretty shitty thing to do.
That's something big that no one should screw up.
Vindieselsmokedurdadspollforcoke @ May 23rd 2008 6:25PM
Actually a really entertaining multiplayer experience...lots of fun ways to murder eachother. The campaign was kind of slow...but if you are an achievement hooker like myself the achievements are stackable for campaign. But if you havent tried it i suggest doing so...i bought it on sale and was pleasently surprised.
xenocidic @ May 24th 2008 12:12AM
d'oh! i shoulda DL'd it..(even tho I dont own the game)
Sharpie @ May 24th 2008 5:36PM
If you have the PS3 version just get it there. The content is free and will remain free. Come on this is MS, do you think these Mcscrooges would not take any opportunity to pull more scratch from its gamers. They are the nickel and dime kings of consoles, the EA of hardware.
Marrvia @ May 25th 2008 4:20PM
who cares if this is not free? I played the demo for this game a few months back, and the game is godawful. I will never play this anyway.
