In an interview with
G4's X-Play,
Mark Mothersbaugh, member of the 80's red hat wearing group Devo, confirmed that Devo will in fact be releasing three tracks to the Rock Band DLC library. Though, Mothersbaugh kept his cards close and didn't reveal which Devo tracks they'll be releasing, when they'll hit the XBLM or for how much. But one thing that's nearly certain is that one of their
Rock Band releases will be the uber hit "Whip It". Because if they put out a three pack of DLC and don't include "Whip It", then we and thousands of fanboys will have to perform a Devo
Rock Band DLC boycott. And yes, Devo, that
is a threat.

Sweet.

Whip it, I'm not so sure. No discernible guitar track. Some of the Boston tracks seemed a little strange during the keyboard sections also (playing keyboards with a guitar).
How about "Gut Feeling/Slap you mama"? Much better guitar track.

There's one week I won't be downloading any DLC! I'd rather have my face beat in by apes than listen to Whip It.

Sweet, devo is the best band of all time. I need to get off my ass and spend some money on Rock Band finally.
Hopefully the other two tracks will be from Q/A, though you just know they will make Whip It one of the tracks.
I can see Jocko Homo being on there, though.

who?

Wonder if they'd throw in a weird track like Mongoloid?
wa27 @ May 26th 2008 11:16PM
As much as I hate people that bitch about "This country is way too PC", I really do think Mongoloid might be a bit too un-politically-correct for Rock Band.

me and my friend bought Rock Band last week,
yes we coughed up the £180, but we traded in some older games to help.
we already spent 2100 points on songs, and have spent everyday since friday playing the game ( me and a group of friends are half way through the endless setlist right now). I don't think we will be buying any more songs for a few more weeks (i have blisters on my hands because of drumming and strumming.
UNSCleric @ May 27th 2008 12:32AM
Why don't they have good DLC anymore?
Treima @ May 27th 2008 1:37AM
Why release good DLC when you can release crap and people will still eat it up?
Gemini Ace @ May 27th 2008 7:52AM
Since when is Devo good?
wa27 @ May 27th 2008 8:49AM
Devo is brilliant, just forget that their only hit was a shitty one.
Andy @ May 27th 2008 8:09AM
Girl You Want would be a good one.

i'm hoping you mean you're fanboys for rock band because a true Devo fan would hate the song whip it becuase it doesn't sound like any other Devo song...keep mashing buttons fags leave music to real musicians
