Free Army of Two Veterans DLC releases this week

The Army of Two "Veterans Pack" will bring with it two new co-op campaign scenarios and an update to the China Canal Lock multiplayer map. The two co-op scenarios will include gang eradication in a Kiev subway station while the other scenario features a bunch of boss and ex-boss killing in Miami. Again, this DLC will be free, so if you are "lucky" enough to own the game, we advise giving it a download come Thursday.

Dustin, I don't know if I like your attitude today. "Lucky" indeed. This game rocks, at least as long as you have a friend to play it with.

Agreed. One of my favorite multiplayer games of the year. Too few games have local co-op, and even fewer games feel like the co-op was nothing more than a feature added on at the very end to appease people like me. This game was built from the ground up with co-op in mind, even the AI is impressive. I don't understand why this game has been so hated on!

I don't think the game was as bad as everyone says it is. I think the majority of the haters didn't play the game and listened to the overly political bullshit review on gamespot to form "their" opinions. I love that cheesy B action movie game. Will have to dust my copy off when this free stuff comes out.

This game was not bad at all. As long as you had a good partner to play online with. The bashing of this game just doesnt make sense to me. I think it's coming from people who only played the demo, or nothing at all. With 3 FREE maps, i just might Gamefly this one again.

Who cares.. This game BLOWS!!! With or without a friend. Shitty story.. shitty controls....overrated graphics....horrible gameplay. Could have been good... cool concept. Terrible game.. I mean horrible... only reason it didn't flop so bad was the marketing campaign. No point to this game. So Gay.. the only thing they left out was the button to make the guys bend over and fuck each other!! thats right!! FUCK EACH OTHER! which you and a friend would probably enjoy more than playing this POS!

Well....idiot..... I have played this game. I bought it and sold it on ebay in a weeks period. Its trash.... anyway u look at it..... TRASH!.. Not thought out, and glitchy as hell. It could have been cool. maybe.... but lack of game design and testing ruined it. The elements were there for an excellent game.. just not developed well at all. Concept was cool.. Gameplay blew.
And all you FAGS who say that the only people who trash this game are people who havent played it... ur dead wrong. I just know quality when i come across it. That is why I kicked your cum guzzling mother to the curb Chester...the molester....Its all just trash.

I'll be passing on the DLC, especially considering I am trying to sell it right now :-p
The game I thought was pretty bad. It was fun for the first little bit play through co-op with someone but after awhile it just gave me the "ugh..." feeling. The random banter and so forth was funny and fun, as well as the fist pounding in the middle of a fight. But overall... it was so over the top that it just was awful. It didn't help that while we were playing it bugged out a couple different times where the "bosses" that you were fighting became completely invincible to bullets.
I think the idea was great, just executed poorly.

The armoured guys needed to be shot from behind - that's how the whole 'Army of TWO' system was supposed to work. One guy gets the attention of the baddies, then you shoot their arse to get a kill. Either that or knock them down with the sniper rifle, then shoot their body.
I personally just went through the game last week, found it quite good in the end. Story was a good length, graphics were good, controls were ok. Multiplayer was not bad. Overall a good addition to the FPS genre, but not one of the highlights.

I'm in the middle on this game. It's not as bad as the haters say, but by no means is "great" or even "good".
It's a brilliant concept, with mediocre to sub-par execution. Many of the "co-op" elements (back to back, step jump) are just gimmicky and are repeated way too many times, and at its core the gameplay and controls just feel off. Upgrading weapons is a sweet idea but I wish there was more info available about them (like some won't let you upgrade certain things) prior to purchasing and many of the guns feel too similar to each other.
The aggro system is another cool idea but seems inconsistent. Why is it that much of the time my partner can have full aggro and as soon as I take a step towards the enemy's flank all the sudden all 6 guys turn around and start wailing on me?
Still though, it's a fun play-through and the extra co-op missions will extend its life another day or two for me. I think the story is decent enough so far too, especially for a shooter. Not sure why there are so many complaints on that front.

There were a couple of times that I boosted someone up and they died and couldn't lift me up. That was pretty annoying.
Also, my friend wouldn't go "Back-to-back" with me. It made him uncomfortable...
It's possible that I wasn't playing w/ someone who was good enough or comfortable enough with their sexuality, but overall I had a pretty lame experience playing this game and couldn't possibly recommend it to anyone.
