I've been rockin' this cd all morning. Played 3 of the 9 songs on hard drums. Looking forward to hitting up the rest after work.

I thought the Who's "Who's Next" was announced as the first full-length album that would be released for Rock Band when the game launched. Why hasn't "Who's Next" been released yet and has it been announced when it will be? They also mentioned a full-length Metallica album upon the game's release. Any word on that?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Harmonix will get no more of my dollars until I see
"Who's Next." I don't care how awesome this DLC is.

Wah wah, no Who album. I love the Who too, but that doesn't make the Cars any less awesome. The only person you're hurting by not picking this truly excellent album up, is yourself.
EAsucks @ May 27th 2008 12:32PM
Lame.
Give us The Who already.
Gemini Ace @ May 27th 2008 12:38PM
Nevermind?
Ray @ May 27th 2008 2:32PM
i cant wait for that album to show up on marketplace!
Glenn @ May 27th 2008 3:49PM
Nevermind was never announced by Harmonix as coming as DLC. There was an interview with one of the Harmonix developers that was taken out of context to mean that Nevermind was coming. Since then, people have taken it for granted that Nevermind was coming, when as up to this point, it has never been mentioned specifically as coming as DLC.
Tony @ May 27th 2008 12:43PM
They never said what order the DLC would come in. They just said it was coming. They're obviously working on it, I don't see a point of skipping other DLC you're interested in. It's not like it's a rumor that you have to help make a reality, it's being made lol.

I honestly thing that the Who album will release when Guitar Hero 4 drops. What better way to bitch-slap Activison?
I also suspect that the "work" is already done and the tracks are ready to go. I'm not a Who fan but I am anxiously awaiting the Nirvana album to come out which is probably coming out around the same time. Waiting is a bitch...

This is a great get for Harmonix, as is the upcoming Devo content.
Paligap @ May 27th 2008 2:26PM
where do you find out upcoming tracks - didn't even know Devo - WHIP IT!!!!1

The question everyone should be wondering is whether or not RB tracks will work in the sequel. I think they should, barring any huge peripheral changes, and, even then, they should make it work.
HazyCloud @ May 27th 2008 2:44PM
I have no linkage, but I remember HMX saying that all DLC tracks from RB1 will work with RB2.

Has anyone else broken multiple bass pedals? these things are made so badly. I've broken 4 now. My last one lasted around 2 weeks of use. I've learned how to use the pedal and not go crazy on it, but it seems to not matter. I've heard of a metal plate they sell to brace the pedal. Has anyone used it?
HazyCloud @ May 27th 2008 2:47PM
I've gone through one pedal and my second hasn't cracked yet. I've heard great stories about the metal plates. You can get 'em for about 20 bucks all over eBay. I'm considering one just in case.
Andrew @ May 27th 2008 4:07PM
I use one and it works great...highly recommended.
taco @ May 27th 2008 2:55PM
when will we see more Weezer? new album?
Treima @ May 27th 2008 4:36PM
I've known about this one for a while. Can't justify getting the whole disc, but I'll pick up "Just What I Needed" and consider that my DLC for the week.

Just d/led and played through on guitar, and these are some really fun tracks. The charts on guitar on hard were pretty tricky, with a bunch of stuff I haven't seen in other songs. Well worth the 1200 points and MUCH better than the first album release. This is one of the greatest summer albums ever, and probably my new favorite on RB. I'm so sorry Grateful Dead, but I've found another.
