Rock Band DLC: Jimmy Buffett and Disturbed
Fresh off the Harmonix fed newswire comes word of next week's batch of Rock Band downloadable content and, to be completely honest, we're looking forward to it. Next week will not only bring three (newly recorded just for Rock Band) tracks from Jimmy Buffett including "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise", but also three tracks from rock group Disturbed of which are value priced for a limited time. These are the same three DLC tracks that you can obtain free through Best Buy's "Indestructible" CD pre-order offer. June 3rd's Rock Band DLC releases are:
- "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett - 160

- "Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett - 160

- "Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett - 160

- Jimmy Buffett Three Pack - 440

- "Indestructible" by Disturbed - 80

- "Inside the Fire" by Disturbed - 80

- "Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed - 80

- Disturbed Three Pack - 240

Wastin' away again in Rock Band. Looking for my lost shaker of salt. Some people say the 360's to blame, oh, no no no. It's my own damned fault.
AoE @ May 30th 2008 2:47PM
lololol. A gold star for you Jonah Falcon.
Neuromancer @ May 30th 2008 4:24PM
Hells yeah!!! Can't say as I care as much about the other two but Margaritaville rocks!!!

I am strangely excited to perform Margaritaville.
HazyCloud @ May 30th 2008 2:58PM
BEST BUY PREORDERS: I was told by a Best Buy cust rep that you can return items bought on BB.com to a local store. Your card will be refunded. Only problem I see is if BB employees are aware of the codes, they may not take the unopened CD back.
dark_inchworm @ May 30th 2008 3:15PM
Inside the Fiery Volcano
Perfect Insanity in Margaritaville
And my personal favorite... Indestructible Cheeseburger in Paradise
Helloimbob @ May 30th 2008 3:19PM
I'm getting the Disturbed pack for sure, but I'm still waiting for a Maiden album release... preferably the new Somewhere Back In Time...
THAT would be awesome.
Ample Salty @ May 30th 2008 3:37PM

Parsnipzilla @ May 31st 2008 6:01AM
Dammit man, you beat me to it!
Where the hell is Elton John?!
Kizzle @ May 30th 2008 3:39PM
At 80 points each (if you buy the 3-pack), I'll buy the Disturbed songs even though I'm not a big fan. And then I will wonder what the fuck Jimmy Buffet is doing in Rock Band.
blkhwk67t @ May 30th 2008 3:47PM
LOL I was thinking the same but I'm thinking they might be great for the after hours party at my house on the weekend.
Deezul @ May 30th 2008 6:37PM
Jimmy Buffett? Jeez, maybe they should go through with that April Fools Joke and put Avril Lavigne on Rock Band.
DeadPlasmaCell @ May 30th 2008 3:51PM
So what's the deal with the Pre-order codes?? I pre-ordered the day the deal was announced, but I never got a email or anything about the codes yet.
HazyCloud @ May 30th 2008 4:24PM
I called BB, but they didn't know anything about the codes. Someone from their promotions dept is supposed to email me within a few days. It looks as if I'm going to spend the 3 on tracks and take the CD back when it arrives.
DeadPlasmaCell @ May 30th 2008 4:30PM
I just read from someones comment @ Kotaku that the codes are supposed to go out on the 3rd. So that would make sense.
Gemini Ace @ May 30th 2008 4:12PM
Seriously? Who the fuck asked for Jimmy Buffet? Goddamn that sucks. I thought the game was called Rock Band, not Gay Ass Bullshit.
Neuromancer @ May 30th 2008 4:30PM
Whoa Gemini you're one of the people I look to on X3F to be a voice of reason in a sea of crazy.
You need to mellow out a little today, for my sake if not your own.
;)
Thrombo19 @ May 30th 2008 5:07PM
It did seem a bit out of character, but I did giggle. Even if I am going to prolly buy the 3 pack to make the wife happy.
Gemini Ace @ May 30th 2008 5:09PM
Sorry man. I just see stuff like that and it makes me crazy. The guys that worked on that Jimmy Buffet stuff could have been doing good stuff like Nevermind.
bugatti23007 @ May 30th 2008 5:19PM
I would buy Rock Band but there's no Emo songs like “Never to late” by Three Days Grace
Treima @ May 30th 2008 5:28PM
For the sake of your own credibility, I hope you're joking.
If they were to pick any 3DG song it'd be Animal I Have Become.
dronesensor @ May 30th 2008 5:37PM
@ Treima
it's hilarious how you question someone's credibility, then name-drop a three days grace song! seriously, thank you for making me laugh harder than i have in the last week.
i heart irony!
Treima @ May 31st 2008 3:24AM
@dronesensor
Actually, I was questioning his credibility because
A. There is an Emo song on the original track list and many many many for DLC,
B. "Never Too Late" is an awful song, and
C. Anyone that listens to 3DG can tell right off that they aren't emo. Just Canadian. There's a difference.
Thanks for proving you're an idiot, though.
Etchasketchist @ May 30th 2008 6:06PM
Wow, the got to Jimmy Buffet before they could come up with one single black musician to include in the game. How spectacularly unimpressive.
Treima @ May 31st 2008 3:28AM
Call me unimpressive, but I can only think of two rock bands with black members: Bloc Party's Kele Okereke and the incomparable Jimi Hendrix. Both have been used by Guitar Hero, so it shouldn't be long before we see them in Rock Band.
Etchasketchist @ May 31st 2008 12:00PM
Thats is sad. This is why Rock Band is filling the kids with lies about Rock music.
Black people invented rock and roll, son. Learn your history. I'm not going to embarass you with a list of band names and artists, but let me just assure you that fucking Bloc Party and Jimi Hendrix are not the only black rockers ever. Good lord.
EMaster @ May 30th 2008 8:04PM
So when is "The Who" Album going to be available?.
charvey @ May 30th 2008 10:27PM
I just preordered and the code they give is good for only 3 tracks. They send you a code in an email and redirect you to a page where you can get a live code to redeem. http://disturbed1.com/xbox/
charvey @ May 31st 2008 1:38PM
oops what I meant to say was its only good for 2 tracks.
nick haas @ Jun 3rd 2008 5:06PM
Has anybody besides me preordered the disturbed Cd and not gotten the codes? It's gettin frustrating because I know I should have them by now. I recieved the CD in the mail, and there were no codes. I'm about to just buy the songs and just give up on the best buy codes. Could anybody help me out with this?
UNSCleric @ May 31st 2008 1:44AM
Gemini is right, this shit is retarded.
Treima @ May 31st 2008 3:31AM
I have always thought "Inside the Fire" would be awesome for Rock Band, glad to see it and the other Disturbed songs.
CodeMaster @ Jun 3rd 2008 5:11PM
I'm about to be your hero....
Go to http://disturbed1.com/xbox
Enter 1lfa89 and click submit.
Enter the code you receive on Live for the songs.
Enjoy!
charvey @ Jun 3rd 2008 7:52PM
The code, should be about 6 characters long, should have been emailed to you after you preordered on Best Buys website. It then redirects you to disturbed's website to claim a Microsoft code. Did you pre-order from Best Buy's website? If not you won't get a code.
nick haas @ Jun 4th 2008 9:21AM
Yes, I did preorder it from Best Buy's site, but still no sign of an e-mail. I emailed customer support and the only thing they said was "You should get an e-mail." Codemaster, thanks for the help, but when i submit that code, it just gives me a blank area and says thats my code. If anyone has another code to try could you e-mail it to me at nhaas34@yahoo.com?
Thanks.
