Video: Resident Evil 5, zombies, death and blood

Thanks to Capcom and GameTrailers, there's a brand spanking new "Captivate" Resident Evil 5 trailer that's guaranteed to give you a satisfying dose of zombie killing and virus exposure. The RE5 trailer (viewable above) also shows plenty of in-game action, beautiful, gorgeous in-game action where, at one point, we swear we counted twenty-seven zombies on the screen at once. And a few infected dogs. There's also a chick, man.

YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! ive never seen such shitty graphics in my life. the texture mapping is last gen, the color palette is wrong, the polygons look muddy.... just to name a few things. as far as im concerned.... condemned is the superior horror franchise these days.

Come on, you have to be kidding... This game looks great. I think maybe the video just wasn't very high quality. As far as color goes maybe the makers wanted it that way. Regardless I can't wait for it to come out.

i do agree with you, some of the textures did look quite bland, looks like little not no use of bump mapping. I am a big Resi fan so I am very much looking forward to it.

The accent of the villager seems a little off to me! I guess you can credit that to bad voice acting! For those of you wondering what I'm comparing it too in my mind to come up with that conclusion then its SCDA which had a level in africa as well!
But overall the game looks promising!

"There's no humanity here." Oh Capcom, that really didn't help you. Not to mention the sidekick who appears to be the only friendly person in Africa is white... or at least not black. Really, if they had just made that character black they would have saved themselves fully from gamers thinking poorly of Capcom.
Anyway, it will probably be a great game, graphics look wonderful as well as the plant thing that comes out of the infecteds' throats.

oops, I meant in my original message to convey some doubt in my discerning of her race. Sorry for the confusion. I made it sound like I was sure she was white, when to be honest, I can not really tell what race she is.
And see, Tony says there are obviously white zombies, but I can not discern that because of the lighting.
Ah, well, I'm not a troll, I just have recently fallen into the N'Gai Croel (sp) camp on RE5. It probably isn't racist but could be seen as such is his mantra.

Seems as you are the only one that had a problem with those graphics as they are still pretty much the top in visuals in this gen of graphics. Maybe if people didnt compare games from 92' to ones made in 08' then you'd be able to tell the difference. The trailer looked great and the new sidekick seems like she may bring something new to the table unlike the terrible sidekicks like Tifa and the like.

Capcom needs to pay close attention to all the "negative" attention this game gets the "there's no humanity here" line doesn't help them one bit with the racial controversy surrounding this game. I Am looking foward to re5, and will have it the day it drops, but "triforceowner" ( in one of the above posts) pretty much stated what I was already thinking.

The graphics in Resident Evil 5 are more gorgeous and more next gen. Not like metal gear 4 the graphics are good but no so good.

Looked very like RE4. Not a bad thing.
Enemies looked different but with upgraded versions of the parasites in RE4.

Awesome if somewhat brown graphics.

love the dedication to animating a shotgun right, no FPS shooter does it right except this and FEAR, the same formula as RE 4 but with more enemies, better animation and upgraded graphics... SOLD!!
This will be a serious version of Dead Rising, move aside Frank West its time for the big boys to handle the zombies!!
The in-game footage impressed me 5 times more than MGS 4 did lol.....

Yea I don't see what the complaints are about at all..the graphics and textures look amazing. This game looks to be true to the feel and atmosphere of the recent titles in the Resident Evil franchise. This looks very promising.

This game looks pretty good, most likely a rent for me though. The whole racism thing is going to be blown up by the media though, so its alright for us to shoot white/spanish zombies but when its black zombies it becomes a racism? ugh I some how have a feeling this is going to be appearing on Oprah.
