It's another double dose of games this week for XBLA in Brief. This time, we examine Aces of the Galaxy and Roogoo. Aces of the Galaxy is an on-rails space shooter, whereas Roogoo is a puzzle game. What are the odds that both of them are actually pretty good? Frankly, we think those odds are fairly slim, but we're happy to say that both games manage to impress in their own way. Watch the latest episode and find out if either game is right for you.

Roogoo is a real breath of fresh air, a far cry from the dark "go kill things"games that I'm sure you have sitting next to your 360. You owe it to yourself to at least try it out, much like portal or Locoroco. I think I'm going to end up buying this one.
I am not much of a XBLA fan but being a big sci-fi fan that I am, Aces of the Galaxy seems like something I will really like. Just downloaded the demo and will be giving it a shot later. Never would have tried it on my own, but your video made me do it! Thanks!
Like I said before both games are great and worth the points.
Aces Of the Galaxy is really tight bringing back some old school shooter styles reminding me of segments of Philosoma and Axelay with a Panzer Dragoon Flare.
While Roogoo is a fast thinking addictive puzzle game well outside of the norm for the throths of puzzle games that currently exist on the marketplace. Get these games!

Being a child of the 80s, Aces evokes "the last starfighter" to me with the aiming reticle. So that means "sold"
I'll have to try out RooGoo first.

I love these segments that you guys do

These video segments are awesome. Saves me a lot of time to know whether a game sucks or not.
Space rail shooter, and crappy puzzle game, no thanks to both.

Where have I heard that music in Roogoo before...? Is it me or is eerily familiar to the BGM when you are in the Windows XP activation wizard??
Anyway, looks interesting, if a little "cute" for my taste - it's great that you guys have these features up so fast

RooGoo really looks and sounds like a lost world from Super Mario Galaxy to me.
I'll give the demo a go and prolly enjoy it - but I don't see it being worth spending money on though.

I bought roogoo..
(ashamed face)
It's a good change of pace to anything else on the xbla..
It is a little too "cute," but its fun, challenging and relaxing all at once
(and i need something to hold my attention until the ninja gaiden demo comes out)

Nice work as always guys. :) Roogoo seems like one of those "get your girlfriend into gaming" games.

Yeah, these sections are great.
You get to play and waste your time with kiddy games and we don't ;)

Richard,
You forgot to mention Roogoo's multiplayer (off- and online.)
