EndWar beta invites begin pouring in

Early this morning, the first wave of invites for the beta release of Tom Clancy's EndWar have begun to flood email boxes everywhere. Beginning June 16, selected gamers will be able to experience the first RTS title to brandish the Tom Clancy name for three-weeks when the beta ends on July 7.

The EndWar Private Demo/Beta, as it's officially referred to as, includes a reduced part of one of the 3 game modes planned for the retail release of EndWar. The beta will feature online play only for matches of 1v1 or 2v2. Gamers who participate in the beta will receive exclusive Gamerpics, which will be released to testers at a later time.

Signing up for the beta requires a non-disclosure agreement that disables participants from disclosing any information, not currently available, to any third-party source. So, when your mother asks you why you're yelling at your television you'll just have to play along and act crazy. Unless you actually aren't actually in the beta, in which case ... seek help immediately.

It's not a massive 'first-come-first-served' selection, I got the same email 3 times.

Chances are - if you didn't get it, you wont get it in the future.

Yea I got two of the same e-mail notifying me, so I imagine if you didn't get one by now, you probably aren't going to get one.

I could honestly care less if I get a email or not. I'll just get a buddy that does have it, and do the "account download glitch" Oh and to do that you must have alot of trust in that person:P

Considering your friend will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, you may both find yourselves in a very vulnerable situation legally. Here is a related section of the NDA..

"THE RECEIVING PARTY AGREES THAT UNAUTHORIZED COPYING AND/OR DISCLOSURE OF THE BETA VERSION OF THE GAME (and/or any other Confidential Information) WILL RESULT IN IRREPARABLE HARM to UBISOFT, the extent of which would be difficult to ascertain, and in any event money damages will be inadequate as a remedy in the event of such a breach. Accordingly, each Party agrees that in the event of a breach of this Agreement by the Receiving Party, UBISOFT shall be entitled to injunctive, or other equitable relief as the court deems appropriate, in addition to any other remedies which it may have available. UBISOFT WILL TAKE ALL LEGAL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO PROTECT ITS CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION."

I believe part of the beta (check the how to play/faq pages on the site) is to test out the matchmaking, so I'm not sure if joining friends will be enabled.

I hope it is to be honest, the closed battlefield beta ruined it by not allowing you to play with friends - I'd play it much more if inviting was supported.

Plus the email is more confirming that the account you created has been enabled for the beta. There is no special code in the email itself.
