Microsoft teases us with super special E3 'aces'

As part of Microsoft's official response to the release of May's NPD numbers, not only does team MS gloat about the 360's impressive 7.7 attach rate, but they also feel the need to dangle a super-secret, super-special E3 announcement carrot in front of our crazy twitchy rabbit-like noses. Such teases ...At the very end of Microsoft's NPD response, they strategically decide to pull an E3 tease saying that "we still have quite a few aces left up our sleeve; see you at E3 next month!" Hmm, quite a few aces eh? It's just as we expected! Bring on the new game, new hardware, new accessory, new price drop or new anything E3 reveals! We admit, these "aces" sure do make us giddy.

Yeah, they are so screwed. I mean, what are they gonna do when all 19mil of us up and sell all of our games, systems, and dont buy anything else...
But then again, that isnt going to happen, is it? Even if sales slowed it would currently take Sony a few years to catch up to already sold consoles, and 360s attach is higher. And by that time, it will be time for the next generation of consoles again. Yep, Microsoft is soo screwed lol...

Its going to be goldeneye on arcade.They struck a deal with ninty for viva pinata for the rights to release goldeneye.
ds maybe wii gets pinata
live gets goldeneye from rare.

But if they do ever get round to upgrading Goldeneye to work with a 360 controller i will be all over it

goldeneye has already been made for xbla, there was a review of it in some british magazine, a month later they said nintendo wouldnt let them release it - it looked awesome too.

Thats my point.They spent the money and time upgrading it and getting it ready for live.Now all of the sudden they decide to let nintendo have viva pinata on ds and possibly wii.This is a smart move and maybe they came to an agreement.
Let nintendo use viva on ds and wii and let us release goldeneye on arcade.
Now there screaming theres aces up there sleave and i remember the petition to bring goldeneye to live was huge maybe they listened.
They figure they got the new pinata coming let nintendo have the first and snatch up golden eye.

Let's think for a second.
Microsoft really hasn't had any big, newsworthy stories to come out of Redmond for a while if you look back. The last hardware bit was the Chatpad. There will be no Spring Update.
I'm calling 'Calm Before The Storm' right now.
I'm not exactly EXPECTING, but I'd be excited to learn about:
• New 360 prices: Arcade unit $179.99, Pro $279.99, Elite $349.99
• Blu-ray 360 console with 120GB HDD: $529.99
...All I'm saying is that there has to be a big reason why nobody really has talked about 360 hardware for a while.

An X360 with an internal BD Drive would be cool but what people dont seem to understand is that games dont have to be on BD discs - the drive can have two lasers, one RED one Blue - [Red to read & play the games, & one Blue to read Blu-ray discs - thats what one of Sony's VAIO laptops has] : )

If this blasted Blu-ray rumor is true they'd have to drop prices and make a Blu-ray equipped 360 $399 to compete with Sony. Arcade and Premium models lower and on par with the Wii + the announcement of Newton. Elite will be down to $349 and I think Lips will be something for the RTS crowd. Should be an interesting e3 if my speculations are true.

Price drop on the consoles I think the big ace. Blu Ray add on is more likely than an all in one unit, as it would still allow the early adopters to get some BR action.
