Spyro and Guilty Gear Originals now available
Hopefully you are prepared (we did give you enough of an advance warning), because today it's time for another amazing Xbox Originals release! Celebratory vanilla cake and party poppers for all! And this week's Xbox Originals are none other than Arc System Works' Guilty Gear X2 #Reloaded and Krome Studios' The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Each will cost you 1200 Microsoft points and some hard drive gigage, but also a cautionary note. Those who decide to jump into the Xbox Originals mix, be on the look out for "some minor irregularities with audio/video for brief periods" while playing. Hey, we're just saying.Source - Guilty Gear X2 #Reloaded

God damn! Why are they bringing out games that are already backwards compatible as Originals downloads (Guilty Gear X2 in this case), yet games that aren't backwards compatible are getting ignored?
Neuromancer @ Jun 16th 2008 2:38PM
You're not going to see anything that's not backwards compatible I don't think. That's why they're on Originals, because it doesn't take much extra effort.

Yeah I doubt they'll put games that aren't backwards compatible already on XB Originals. The games already on it are just direct ports (afaik).

Spyro ftw :)

No trials. No achievements. No buy.

Not bad Dustin, you delivered the news with only minimal sarcasm. Better, much better. I'm not being a troll, it really is much better than some of the other announcements I've seen you make.
Digital, you're right, they should have trials of the game available for download. 1200 points is a lot for a game you aren't certain will be up to your standards.

Only one release for most of Europe (Spyro), none for Germany. Either problems with the PAL format or rights trouble or what the heck. I was SO looking forward for GGX2.
