Tom Clancy's EndWar beta goes live

As clocks struck midnight around the globe, Ubisoft began turning on servers and releasing beta keys for its upcoming console RTS Tom Clancy's EndWar. Due to the staggered release of keys for the small beta (speculation is only 15,000 testers were selected) some of the testers were quick to proclaim the release a disaster; as it turns out Ubisoft was intentionally releasing the beta in waves throughout the evening and early morning.

Tom Clancy's EndWar Beta, which clocks in at a sizable 2.98GB, gives players the chance to play through one of three planned online modes in 1v1 or 2v2 matches and is planned to run until July 7.

Yeah wonder why. I told them I had GRAW, GRAW 2 and Rainbox Six so I wonder if that didn't fit their criteria somehow.

Log in to the http://www.endwarbeta.com and they'll plaster a "HERE'S YOUR KEY" up as the first thing you see when trying to get to the forums.

I started my download this morning @ 7:20...i was at 20% by 7:29...So i'm assuming that by the time i got in to work, it was already downloaded. lol

Actually there was an NDA agreement so no you wn't be receiving any opinions on the beta. Well you probably will but those people might get into a little trouble.

Also, make sure to check your actual EndWar account because I never got any e-mails period pertaining to the beta, but there was a surprise awaiting me when I logged in there.

what dod you mean endwar account? i go to login it asks for a clearance code, which im guessing we SHOULD get in our emails??

I've tried that but it won't let me login. It keeps asking for a Ubi VIP code which I don't have. I can't login through the other EndWar page either because it says my username / email is not on file. Oddly though it IS on file as I have the confirmation emails from when I signed up. Odd...

Ah no, you're one of those people who signed up for it just because you get to play a bit of a game for free.

As the poster before me stated, when you signed up for this beta, they made sure to tell you that this was a real beta (not a polished Halo 3/COD4 Demo) and that there would be glitches. Instead of complaining, get on the forums and document the problems in a legible format. If you're not going to do that, don't play.

Wow, a lot of assumptions going on here. I am definitely one of those people right... I do report bugs. What I am pissed about is winning 4 games and having a 0 - 0 record, saying my faction has been reset and then having it log in normally, losing connection to servers, telling me in the barracks that I now have balance to buy shit and having ZERO command points. It's just irritating. I'm allowed to say it is glitchy.

You should get an email telling you that your beta key is available, and that you should log into the Endwar Beta website to retrieve your key.

If you don't get an email, just try going to the site and see if it's there when you login.

You get the key after you sign into the endwarbeta.com... not in an email, you get an email telling you to head there to retrieve it.
