EA Sports announced yesterday that its latest franchise
FaceBreaker will release on September 5 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. While sim-boxing fans look forward to EA's
Fight Night series,
FaceBreaker is reminiscent of classic arcade boxers pulling nostalgic cues from Nintendo's
Punch-Out! and Midway's
Ready 2 Rumble. Developed by EA Canada,
FaceBreaker marks the first title to sport the new EA Sports
Freestyle brand--created to identify titles with a more casual and accessible appeal.

Looks like it could be fun.

This could be really good in a 'come home from the pub with your mates and have a laugh smashing people's faces in' kind of way.

Anyone know if there are screenshots out there with Vision camera uploaded faces? Or has that feature been pulled not unlike 4 player coop in Too Human?

Gametrailers TV had an episode with Peter Moore and Jeff Keighley a couple weeks ago. It had footage of the created characters.

Wasn't this announced for XBLA, and is it still headed for XBLA and PSN?

This is a retail release. Not a downloadable title.

Thats not good. I think it would be a perfect one for XBLA. Oh well.
