Load Inc., developer of the XBLA racer
Mad Tracks, just sent over four new screens of the vehicles found in their upcoming XBLA RC racer
Things On Wheels. Exclusively revealing one of the vehicles from the title (seen above) in an interview with X3F, Load Inc. has now showcased five vehicles--their are 12 in the full version of the game. No word on a release date for
Things On Wheels but we eagerly anticipate jumping into the RC racer before the end of the year. For more detailed information on
Things On Wheels make sure to check out our
interview with Denis Bourdain from developer
Load Inc.
Also (because we missed it) we'd like to wish Load Inc.'s first XBLA title
Mad Tracks a belated Happy 1st Birthday. "Since (release) 700.000 people played the trial version (of
Mad Tracks) and 72.000 people trusted us enough to buy the game," reads the
Load Inc. website. "The good news is that it's not de-listed yet and a lot of people still buy it!"
Let's hope
Things On Wheels proves to be as entertaining and popular.

And let us not forget how they utterly borked multiplayer in Mad Tracks with no lobby system, and then failed to fix it. You can read about it here:

Mad Tracks could have been awesome fun game on Live, but they didn't deliver. Sorry, Denis, you burned me once. I'll pass.

They all look sweet! Here's hoping this game is as awesome as Re-Volt!

I liked mad tracks but one of the problems with XBLA is there sre SO many games it can be tough to find anyone playing an XBLA game online.
Neon Jebus @ Jun 20th 2008 3:16PM
I hope this one holds a bit more replay value than the first title. I found Mad Tracks very forgettable after the first day.
PerfectStrategy @ Jun 20th 2008 3:31PM
I bought Mad Tracks recently and the game is actually a lot of fun. There are worse ways to spend $10.
I'm excited for ToW taking things up a notch. And I'm definitely loving the car designs. The first 3 I'm not sure on but maybe Corvette, Packard, Porsche?
The last two look like Challenger and some sort of Ferrari F430 GT / Koenigsegg mix.
Jonah Falcon @ Jun 21st 2008 6:11PM
Knock it up a notch, BAM!
emirabal @ Jun 20th 2008 3:32PM
These whips look awesome, holla

Mad Tracks was one of the first games I bought for XBLA and they really let me down. The demo was fun so I bought it. Turns out, the multiplayer which wasn't in the demo, was completely broken. The lobby system only allowed you to play one match and not set up a series of matches. It was terrible and pretty obvious why they didn't include it in the demo. I don't think I want to get burned twice by Load, Inc...

I was under the impression they addressed the lobby in a future patch... have you tried it more recently?
I could be wrong, but it's worth a shot. In interviews they have said they've learned their lesson from all of that, so here's hoping.

Nope. Never updated. The community is dead anyways.

Hey!
If you think I was going to pass on negative comments, think again :)
To MrMuggs & MrNosuch, I'm sorry the lack of session replay made you feel this angry.
Again, we did everything we could considering our budget, size and bag of magic spells. Your feedback is helping us make better games and we thank you for this.
We're counting on you to comment on ToW - even if it's only the trial version :)
Have a great week,
DenisDenis.
