Late last night as part of the
Bungie Weekly Update, the Bungie gang finally acknowledged
Halo 3's Cold Storage map on Bungie.net (up until now, we only knew about it via
MLG's coverage) by releasing two gorgeous new Cold Storage
screenshots of which are in the gallery below. Note the yellow juice in the right take, we speculate that it's some sort of Flood sterilization fluid, but can't be sure. Though, one thing we are sure of is that it isn't lemonade. Another thing we're sure of is that we're super excited to get our hands on Cold Storage due to our account of fond Chill Out memories from back during the days of
Halo:CE. And if you're the numbers type, we recommend making the jump to read some very mathematical Battle Rifle analysis which includes number crunching, MS Paint diagrams and arithmetic. Did we mention bobble-heads? The Bungie Weekly Update has bobble-heads too.

does anyone even play halo 3 anymore?
Hooligunn @ Jun 21st 2008 5:08AM
Just because CoD4 is the most played game doesnt mean people don't play Halo 3 anymore. Infact, it's still number 2 and you will see it overtake CoD4 again guarenteed sometime in the future.
Halo has a strong fanbase - Halo 2 is STILL the top played original Xbox game to date week on week. CoD4 might not have such legs in the long run. I see less and less people on my FL playing it every day now.

thanks for all that information I already knew, I was just being 'silly' as well I (as with friends) haven't touched that game since early 2008.
If they are free I will pick them up.

looks kinda like chill out
Josh @ Jun 21st 2008 11:20AM
...that's because it is Chillout. Remade. Like Blackout or Avalanche or Tombstone or Last Resort or any number of maps that Bungie has made.

You have fond Chill Out memories now, when just last week you said, "we aren't all that familiar with Cold Storage's inspiration Chill Out, so we can't garner an opinion just yet." psh. Money making Viacom blog.

Yeah, I caught that, too. Something smells fishy and it's not the fish...
