Call of Duty: World at War Teaser Trailer

With COD4 still so popular, Activision and Treyarch needed to take the series in another direction if they wanted to see another installment sell well this fall. Since the announcement of Call of Duty: World at War there really hasn't been much seen of the game. Sadly while the teaser trailer does give us a short glimpse of the game, it is only that, a teaser. So for those of you who haven't gotten the trailer from the Marketplace, GameTrailers TV has a teaser trailer up too (which is embedded after the break due to GTTV's flash player being a bit finicky these days.)

Ah yes, back to WWII, I don't really know about this. This is really early, gonna wanna see some gameplay, the pacific location could be an interesting twist. We'll see.

Better than COD4? If that was meant to be your statement then I think you need to look at the sales, and online popularity before you make Marioesque statements like that...

I think you should understand people have opinions before correcting his opinions with facts as if it negates his opinion.
Personally, I absolute HATE CoD4 but am an avid fan of all CoD games up to it (except maybe 3, SP was good but didn't like the MP so much). Why? Because CoD4 (in my OPINION) is a noobs game - that's the only reason it's so popular. It's so easy to get kills, camping guarentees you a ton of kills without dying and the weapons all feel the same.
The World War 2 versions of Call of Duty had variety - if two people matched up against each other, looking down the sights was the only way - not this crazy hold down the right trigger crap you do on CoD4. I absolutely cakewalked online with an MP5 with Steady Aim and an ACOG - only looking down the site for long range.
It's a noobs game and I swear that's the reason it's so popular. The single player is one big fireworks show and ridiculously short (it just wasn't FUN, had some great moments though) and the Multiplayer is just too noob friendly for me to like.
I'll take WW2 and say I hope it's better than CoD4 was well thanks.

Amen to that. The single player in Call of Duty 4 is ok, but I beat it in one short sitting, and I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I was going to. CoD2 was way better, and I also don't like how in CoD4, it's completely arcadish in the way the AI keeps spawning non-stop unless you walk ahead or whatever, it's just lame.

Hooligun i agree with it being noobish online. I use the G3 so i have to aim and im using a semi auto weapon while nearly everyone uses their pray and spray automatics. It would be interesting if everyone had to use a gun like the G3 i bet they would be terrible.
But I do disagree partly because the good players still separate themselves. I got a 2.11 k/d ratio where most people have under 1 or somewhere in the 1-1.9 range. Yes, it gets frustrating getting killed by a noob half the map away who just points near me and holds down the trigger, but im still good enough that i finish ahead of all the people nearly every time.

I agree so much with there,
Also their reward system that has people ranking up after every match is just a joke.Anyone with the time can easily reach the highest rank in CoD4.
Also I have another gripe,I see loads of players with those damn LMG's just literary holding down the trigger at the direction of your team and laying waste to them.It's a bit of a joke IMO.
I'd play team fortress or halo 3 any day.

he's right, the game is a noob's game because the level design is horrendous and the hitboxes are so large.
moving spawn points in square maps makes the entire multiplayer game a camp fest.
huge hitboxes and auto aim make it so easy to kill enemies...you dont even have to aim

I just hope they make the British missions better..they're always the weakest in cod games..with an exception of the sniper level in 4.

The jungle aspect of this game already makes it a must buy for me. Imagine creeping in the jungle in sniper mode waiting for your kill in multiplayer.
Yeah i want. This will def be my next major FPS buy.

I think this is going to blow like COD 3, as that game has turned me off from COD permanently. Every time Activision signs Treyarch to make a game, it is a failure.

I also agree with many of the statements made here I hope it is a hell of a lot better then COD4, because cod 4 only lasted me about 5 weeks because the game has almost no vareity and it takes little to no skill to play. All you relly need to do to be good at COD 4 is know the map, because the rest is usually based on who sees who first and sometimes if you have the right perks. And I am also a huge fan of the COD series, but 4 was the absolute worst, the reason it is so popular is mainly because its easy as hell and the people that usually suck at other games actually have a game that there good at and cant put it down because its one of the few games they can actually. So yea COD4 is a NOOB game.
