At the very beginning of Lionhead's latest
Fable 2 Video Diary 6, Mr. Peter Molyneux can be seen sitting at his desk with pen and paper in hand,
circling boxing-in the word "October" on a piece of paper. We actually spotted Molyneux's mysterious October hint yesterday when we posted the video diary, but now we're even more suspicious about its meaning after Lionhead refused to comment on the video or the October date when
Eurogamer asked for more details. An official October
Fable 2 release date? An elaborate trick by the Lionhead crew? Or does Molyneux simply utilize the stress relieving technique of writing down one's favorite month and boxing it in with a pen? You be the judge.

Seems like a prime case of reading too much from an incidental detail. I mean, it's not like the page has a big title across the top that says "FABLE 2 LAUNCH PLANS"
It looks far more like braindump scribblings taken during a meeting. October could refer to any number of significant dates encountered during development. Alpha target? Beta target? Launch? Molyneaux's next holiday? His wife's birthday?

Actually if you read what's on the page it's a checklist.
Build Stability
Fitting Game on a DVD
Etc that I can't read.
And October is obviously the deadline for those items, So why would the game need to fit on a dvd and be stable by October? Because they need it to go to Gold Master.

...MY birthday? That's awfully sweet of Peter to think of me like that. It's the 25th of October, and I'm a size Large..

I've always said there's nothing quite as relaxing as writing down one's favorite month and boxing it in with a pen

Well the man has said that the game is coming this year "when the leaves turn brown" in more than one interview. Peter has always been one who's excited to talk about his developments, even if doing so is premature. I for one this is his way of dropping us a clue but leaving himself an out should they get pushed.

I think mike M is right..if we caught it there is no way the people over at lionhead didn't catch it ...
