Xbox.com pages appear: Soulcalibur & Schizoid

It happened this week. And a while before that too. Hows about next week? Well if the trend continues as it has next week's XBLA releases will be dictated by this week's newly arrived xbox.com pages. The twin appearances in this case are Soulcalibur and Schizoid, the classic weapons-based fighter and the neon-colored co-op shooter, respectively. While Soulcalibur didn't ever really have much of a rumored release date to help corroborate this thing, Schizoid is set to release sometime in July, so we could definitely see the pattern continue next week. And as always, thar be screenshots!

Only Soul Calibur I played was the one with Link for Gamecube. This should be interesting, I'll get it

I'll pass on SoulCalibur without online play.
Have been looking forward to Schizoid for a while though, the co-op mode looks like good fun. I'll have to warm up some suggestive dialog and convince some friends it's worth getting!

It's certainly showing its age but I'll try the trial at least. Wish they'd optimize for widescreen.

I've been looking forward to this one since I first saw it... over a year ago.

On the Soulcalibur page, doesn't "2 Players" in orange mean 2 players online?
Xoviet chiK @ Jun 26th 2008 11:25AM
Yes, yes it does.

From this months OXM^ (sorry for the blurriness, had to use iSight)
Birdshake @ Jun 26th 2008 11:45AM
Yep. Orange signifies live whilst green just signifies the xbox itself. So either oxm is wrong or xbox.com is wrong.
I am so hoping OXM.
Xoviet chiK @ Jun 26th 2008 12:54PM
Notice how there is no mention of online multiplayer in the body of the page though.
Sunny @ Jun 26th 2008 12:07PM
OXM also reviewed Soul Calibur in the latest issue, so its release date must be soon.
dreamcast4ever @ Jun 26th 2008 5:29PM
Hopefully this will be as good or better than soul calibur for the sega dreamcast.
ccc @ Jun 26th 2008 9:00PM
Oh please I hope this is true.
This would better a better double feature than when Aces of the Galaxy hit with Roogoo. Woot!
