Hurry, snag a 360 Pro for $190
The folks at Stootsi.com have been known to offer some pretty good deals in the past but, frankly, this one takes the taco. What's the big deal? Today, Stootsi is offering 360 Pro consoles (you know, the one with a 20GB hard drive) for a mere $189.99. Throw in $6 for shipping and you've got a helluva deal. Now, before everyone runs off at once, you should know that the consoles being sold are refurbished, so buy at your own risk. They do come with a 60 day warranty, for what it's worth. We invite anyone that has bought from Stootsi before to share their experience in the comments.Still ... 190 smackers? That's even cheaper than the rumored price cut.

It should be noted that this is a refurbished unit.

It was noted.

Mattazuma @ Jun 27th 2008 2:02PM
The 60 day refurb warranty would keep me from buying one.

Warrantied against RROD until at least November 25, 2008...
JSBeckerist @ Jun 27th 2008 2:30PM
Not if the warranty was broken by opening the box to "refurbish it."
GoBob @ Jun 27th 2008 2:06PM
From what I recall, Stootsi doesn't seem to have a great rep. Every Stootsi post here seems to have at least one commentator complaining about them.

Heh, I was just about to warn people about stootsi.
Yes, I ordered a used 360 controller from stootsi and I had to send it back because it was sooo nasty -- covered in someone else's dead skin, buttons were sticky and non-functional. It was gross. You'd think they would have cleaned it up first.
Anyway, they did take the controller back with no problem so give that to them.
Stootsi has some great deals but I'd be very wary of any of their refurbished ones. I for one would never deal with them again.
Zelli @ Jun 27th 2008 8:39PM
Dead skin??? They could've atleast taken the courtesy to wipe that off for you.
Mike @ Jun 27th 2008 2:43PM
Does it play MGS4? If not, I am not interested...
Microswirl (MKWii:1676- 4270-3674) @ Jun 27th 2008 4:19PM
Pathetic. Is trolling your life or just your full-time job? This Mike guy has 17 posts on X3F (it's the ONLY place he ever posts) and every single comment is bashing the 360 in some way.

a refurbished pro is not even worth $100. This is no deal here. Do youself a favor, wait a few weeks, save up an extra $100, and buy a brand new one.
Hey Apples @ Jun 27th 2008 2:48PM
Buying a refurb 360 is as good a proposition as buying used underwear.
Venas Rotas @ Jun 27th 2008 2:49PM
Do not buy from Stootsi! That place is horrible and I don't even know what they sell there! I went to a stock guy for help and he vomited all over me and apologized saying the little man made me do it! Sure enough, there was a little man behind me tap dancing away and wearing a green hat.

Why is this a big deal? You can get a refurb Pro system on Buy.com for $199.99 with free shipping.

As for the current deal, that's up to you but the site is legit.

I have ordered a few times from Stootsi and most of the time it has been good quality and as stated. I did order 2 3-pack refurbished s-controllers one time though and 2 of them didn't work and another two looked like they were used to braid someones hair and then jump roped with. Still came out ahead on the deal because the cost was so low, but you get what you pay for IMO so don't expect much on a refurb.
Popfrogs @ Jun 27th 2008 6:46PM
A refurbed 360? Isn't that kinda like buying a used condom?
AJ @ Jun 27th 2008 8:50PM
Stootsi is a shakey operation. Stay away!

I purchased an XB360 controller from Stootsi for $25. It was delivered in about a week and I didn't realize it was a refurb. It was filthy when it arrived but worked and still works about 5 months later. After washing and disinfecting it, it was ok.

If you guys want a good deal you need to find someone who works at Best Buy to invite you to the internal Best Buy Auction. Its just like e-bay but closed to friends and family of Best Buy employees (& the employees). I had to stop going on there because I blew so much money on cheap electronics.
For example - Sony DSLR A300 $500.00 Like New
Nintendo Wii - $175.00
60 GB PS3 $200.00
They even have unopened 50 inch Hitachi TV's that retail for $2,000 going for $700.00!!!
Some items are display items, returned items, overstocked items, items traded in to their new trade program & discontinued items.
I got a 4 GB Insignia MP3 Player for $1.00 + shipping!!
I can't send out anymore invites because I was limited to 5 and I sent them all out. But, anyone in the auction can invite. I suggest making friends with Best Buy employee.
I even got a 3.0 GHZ Quad Core, 4 GB Ram and 750 Gb HDD COmputer for $900.00 (retail for $2,000)
Not trying to brag at all just trying to spread the word.
360 controllers for $10.00 - Wireless Headsets for $10.00

@ #10 Mike dude:
what the heck are you doing here? I mean take a look at yourserlf you go to a 360 fans site ans start post everyday how bad is the system ? Why? I get really curious. You say "pearls" like 360 owners have no girlfriends and stuff, I mean... pathetic.
Why are you so affraid of 360s?
