Video: 20 destructive minutes of Far Cry 2

We aren't entirely sure how we missed this juicy Fary Cry 2 bit of news (we blame you for not tipping us off, for shame fanboys!), but we're here to rectify our mistake. Earlier in the week, Shacknews posted twenty minutes, yes twenty long minutes of in-game Far Cry 2 footage that came from a stage presentation at this week's DreamHack computer expo. After skimming through the twenty minute video, we're impressed. If you ignore the demo's complete lockup at the 7:13 minute mark, Far Cry 2 looks to be shaping up very well, with top notch destructible environments, solid animations and combat that seems very Far Cry'esque. Grab a chair and watch twenty minutes of Fary Cry 2 bliss after the jump. Did we mention it's twenty minutes long?

Finally, a realistic map and compass that isn't always magically on your HUD. Man, the guy narrating does not have the most soothing voice.

That video made my day. I didn't exactly dig the first Far Cry but this one looks insane. Thanks to this video, it's totally on my radar now!

I have 16 games of interest from July to November, and 7 of them are big deals for me. Far Cry 2 is on that short list. :)

I fraggin loved Farcry on the PC so this game looks like a huge step forward. Sure it is not crysis then again millions of PC owners could not even play the game thats why it sold like CRAP. As far as it not being that big that's a load of crap its bigger than oblivion so I crono999 has never played that game. This game looks fun, I do wish the video would have been better quality though...

Was this just the PC version, its great, but I want to see what the console versions (Xbox 360 and PS3) look like. Also I hope they dont mess with it for the console versions case Farcry on the original Xbox was not even remotely close the PC version.
