The Halo universe expands into board games

The Halo Interactive Strategy game will feature characters and themes from Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 using 3D collectible figures in tandem with a "modular board that can be re-configured" that allows players to strategically battle it out board game style. It'll also somehow incorporate a DVD ... somehow. Not much else is known about the game's features or pricing (sorry, no pictures either), but we do know that it'll support expansion packs of some sort. You can color us interested, but we'd really like to see what the board game actually looks like. Heck, if all else fails, just release and mini version of the Halo 3 diorama and we'd be happy campers.

I will probably get it as a collector's item, as long as it's not too expensive. More Halo = Good in my book.

...so why is it nobody complains when a new D&D video game comes out? Isn't that 'milking' the franchise?

I love Halo but when games or movies make new original games of themselves they usually turn out like crap. I could be wrong I mean this is Halo.
What they really need to do is take older games and make them Halo themed. Off the top of my head I can think of like 4 games that would kick ass if they were made Halo. Halo Risk, Stratego, Monopoly, and Trivial Pursuit. I already have like 4 risks why not a Halo sytled one?

Here is an idea,
make an FPS exclusively for the 360 starting Master Chief that continues the Halo 3 story line and call it Halo 4.
