MK VS DC new screens, plus "Brutalities"

When the game was first announced, fanboys on both sides were worried that Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe wouldn't be able to do justice to either property. While the main of that question is still up in the air, one small part of it has now been answered (for those few who really care). See, the very first episode of the MKast went up recently and promised again to its followers that the game would in fact feature the series' signature Fatalities.

Bu- bu- bu- but Batman doesn't kill! Indeed. To rectify this, the DC characters will have what are known as Brutalities instead. Just like a Fatality, except, y'know, not fatal. As you can tell, we're absolutely ecstatic about this news. Wee.

I hope these graphics are very early in development and will be much better by the time the game comes out 'cause this is looking way below what the 360 or PS3 should be pushing at this stage of their life cycles.

Also the images are 956×543 which though clearly not 1080p or even 720p, is still enough to get a reasonable impression of what the overall graphics will look like. Overall texture detail is of course impossible to know with these small images though....so I'll give u that.

You know, gametrailers has a video of the game and it's gameplay. And I must say, it is looking pretty good. I just hope it's not choppy.

I am starting to look forward to this game. I just think the teen rating will sort of throw a curve ball because of the fact that consumers will see that rating on an MK game will will kind of shy away ....i think

Can someone at least give me some inkling of a clue as to how Midway is going to explain how Scorpion's spear is the only thing on earth that can pierce Superman's skin?

Whatever it may be it better not be something insanely lame like " it's been tipped with Kryptonite specifically for the tournament".

I was gonna ask how the hell Superman could take a beating from any of those guys, but the kryptonite excuse will probably be shoved in there to make everything ok.

However, I'm still interested in seeing how this game will turn out. Looking quite good so far.
