Video: Velvet Assassin and the art of the crouch

Coming straight from Gamecock's chest-o-marketing-media, we're treated to a new trailer for their upcoming stealthy game Velvet Assassin. Have a watch. But before you start to make comparisons between it an a certain Sam Fisher, know that there are a few distinct differences. First, Velvet Assassin comes pre-populated with hundreds of Nazis. And second, Velvet Assassin's main hero is of female origin. See, two totally different games.

After watching all that stealthy crouching, one has to believe that irreversible damage is being done to the lower lumbar. Hope she has good medical insurance or lives in Canada, because in ten years, she'll need it.

You beat me to the comment! When I first read the headline I thought it said, "Velvet Assassin and the art of the crotch." My first thought was, this is going to be an interesting game.

Wow, I'd fire my trailer-maker. That was terrible. Low, crap music does not create mood and the graphics... straddling a fence, okay... (I mean in the smoothness of the transact... be quiet.) The rest, very blocky for a next-gen console.

I sincerely hope that the crazy looking graphic cuts won't be part of the menu scheme or a pause menu - the cut out tanks looked ridiculous. And I also hope that the color washout is another editing effect thrown in by the preview's creators.

And if it's in game, I better damn well be able to turn it off (a la mass effect's movie grain... Which I like.)
